I didn't sleep at all. I was bothered when he called last night. Does that justify na akin ang paa sa instagram niya? Agad kong kinastigo ang sarili.
"Bullshit, Manila." I said and grabbed my bag and walked to the parking lot. Naiinis ako sa sarili ko, at mas naiinis ako sa katotohanan na wala siya dito.
It has been a week after the call incident. Before he dropped the call that night, he told me he'll be quite busy since peak season of na naman and airplanes will be very busy. I never hated holidays this much to be honest.
Kuya Zagreb has been keeping in touch. He tells me boring medical stories that I don't understand.
I stopped at my track when I saw someone standing in front of my car. Her long wavy hair is very familiar and I know who she is without even having to see her face.
"Ate Nicola." I tried to beam but I just can't. Hindi ako galit sa kaniya for breaking my brother's heart. But I won't lie, I am disappointed.
"Hi Manila. Can we talk?" She asked. Her eyes are puff. She cried all night, I can say. I nodded and opened my car for her. She boarded the passanger seat while I sat on the drivers's seat.
We reached Flower Café. She served a slice of Oreo Cheesecake for me and frappe. Tahimik siyang nakaupo sa harap ko. I smiled at her.
"Well?" I asked, trying to open the conversation. She sighed and looked outside.
"Tagaytay was a beautiful place, Manila. I came back there yesterday. But it felt so dead. Don't get me wrong. I still find it gorgeous, but it isn't as magical when Alexander was around." She said. I raised my eyebrows at her and crossed my arms.
"So what happened in Tagaytay?" I asked, still curious about it. She smiled as she reminiced the events.
"It was magic, Manila. Every second of it. But I was afraid. For Zagreb, my parent's disappointment, and for Haru." She once again sighed. Kaya tayo minamalas girl, buntong-hininga ka kasi ng buntong-hininga.
"But screw being afraid now, Manila. Hahabulin ko si Zagreb. If I have to beg on my knees, I won't think twice before I do it. I love your brother." She confessed. Napamura ako. Is that for real? She chuckled upon hearing me curse.
"He's in Germany right?" She asked and I nodded. Mula sa bag niya, nilabas niya ang isang one way ticket papunta sa Germany.
"You sure this is a smart idea, Ate Nicola?" I asked. She shook her head.
"You know how Zagreb is. And how hard headed he is, but that's the least of my concern, Manila. I have to win him. If he can chase me til the end of the world, ako din. Kakayanin ko." She said and smiled.
Slowly, I nodded. Desidido siya eh. Then let's see how good she can pursue my stubborn brother. After, I decided to leave and finally go to the studio. Then again, mainit ang ulo ko. If Atlas was hear, someone could entertain me through traffic pero wala. Walang Atlas sa mga panahon na ito.
Honestly speaking, nalilito ako. My feelings about Atlas is always a puzzle for me. Ganito ba ako dahil nakita ko ang larawan ng paa ko sa instagram niya? Or do I actually have feelings for him even before I saw that picture?
In the middle of my thoughts in the traffic, Kuya sent me a message through instagram.
