[ 04 ; golden envelopes, meetings and letters ]"And what are you doing in Gryffindor, Mr.Black?" I asked him im the same tone he had asked me, my eyebrows' lifted."If I remember correctly, which I do, you're family is all about pureblood supremacy" And of course I did not add the fact that I supported that belief.
"Well, sometimes, children don't grow up to be like their families. You should know that." He answered, still smirking.
Before I could open my mouth, glasses-boy interrupted.
"Yes, okay, lovebirds, we dont grow up to be like mum and daddy, we get it" He received a smack in the back of his head made by Sirius. "Anyway,"He said while rubbing where he had previously been hit "I'm James Potter"
"Oh yes, the pain in the ass"
A laugh was heard from Lily's side while in James' face was confusion, Sirius was laughing too.
"What?"
"That's how Lily described you, and so far you have done nothing to prove her wrong"
"Why thank you, Lilypad. Now I know just how much you love me."
"Yes, Lilypad, why are you so rude to Prongs?" Sirius mocked.
Prongs? What kind of nickname was Prongs? Phoenix decided this boys were a little short of mind.
"And again, fuck off, boys." Just as Lily and I turned around to give our backs to them, the door opened and a fat old man walked towards the front of the class.
"Hello, class, open your books on page 267 and start brewing the potions" He started as he looked across the room, then his eyes landed on me and his eyes went wide, I guess I have been told quite sometimes that I look like my Brother did when he was young."And who may you be, Missy?" He came to stand beside my desk.
"Phoenix Blackwell, sir" I said as I looked up at him, damn he had a belly.
"Charles' daughter?" He asked, as I nodded he went "Look at that! Charles and Katherine were some of my favorite students! I taught your entire family, Miss Blackwell, I do hope you are as good in Potions as they were."
"I'll try."
As the class ended I was being called my Professor Slughorn to come to his desk.
"Go on, I'll wait for you outside"Lily said as she opened the door and exited the room.
"Did you ask for me, Sir?"
Slughorn looked up from his books and potions to look at the girl.
"Miss Blackwell, yes, yes, I could not help but notice your excellence in the brewing of Potions, you truly are advanced." He said to me with a surprised look on his face. Please, of course I am, my Brother himself taught me. And he is way better than you.
"Thank you, Professor" Was what I said instead "My mother used to teach me."
"Oh yes, Katherine always did have the talent for potions. Anyway, I wanted to give you this." He handed a golden envelope with the letters SC interwined my way and I grabbed it."I sure hope you can make it, Miss Blackwell."
I smiled and nodded his way before heading outside of the classroom where Lily was waiting for me.
"Oh, great! You've been invited to the Slug Club, congratulations! It's really rare for him to invite someone after only one class so you must be really good at potions or have a really connected family" She told me as we walked through the corridors. Brother told me he was in the Slug Club whe he was at Hogwarts. Without waiting to get to the next class, I opened up the evelope.
Dear Miss Blackwell, your skills at Potion brewing are ones I had not seen in a long while and for that I would like you to join us next Friday at 7.30pm in the Potions classroom for a dinner with selected students, students that are special as you are.
P. Horace Slughorn.
