Chapter 4 ~ Eight Genrals' New Helper

Masrur’s POV

I ran through the crowds holding the unconscious form of Kai. I had to slow down my speed to avoid running into anyone. Luckily this allowed people to notice that I had someone in my arms that was unconscious and the crowd split leaving me a clear path. I took this as my chance to go quicker and I soon was up the steps of the palace.

I saw Yamuraiha and ran to her immediately. She looked over to me then down at Kai. She sent me a questioning look and I freed a hand pointing to the glowing magic bracelets. Yamuraiha’s eyes followed my hand to the bracelet and she told me to follow her as we both ran into the palace to a guest room.

I gently placed Kai onto the bed and Yamuraiha stepped to her side as she looked at the magic items carefully. She turned to me with a serious expression.

“The only way to stop it is to break the bracelets, the only problem is that the needles through her wrists could hit a main artery and cause her to bleed to death. So I’m going to show you where to break it that gives us the lowest chance hitting an artery.” Yamuraiha finished explaining before getting onto the bed on the other side of Kai. She grabbed one of Kai’s arms gently and lifted it up onto Kai’s stomach.

“You will need to use your hands to break the bracelet at these two points. I’ll hold the bracelet and place and swiftly pull the needle and top part of the bracelet off and out of her wrist once it is broken. Do it now.” Yamuraiha said as she pointed to two points and then grabbed the top of the bracelet causing some electricity to course into her arms but she ignored it.

I nodded and then hit the bracelet at the same time with my hands causing it to break all the way through. As that happened Yamuraiha pulled the needle out along with the top of the bracelet. We repeated the same thing for the second one. Once that was done a guard gave us some bandages and we wrapped up her wrists and then did the same thing with the gash on her head.

At that point the other eight generals and Sinbad came into the room. We all stayed silent as we stood in the room all of us either looking at the ground or at Kai.

“Yamuraiha, how long will she be out?” Sinbad asked.

“It could be a few hours to a few days. Only time will tell. She was already in a bad condition due to the head injury and the toll being a…” She paused looking at Kai. “… being a slave was on her. That combined with the fire magic, lightning magic, and the needle in her wrist was enough to knock her out. The immense amount of pain took a lot out of her and her body isn’t healthy enough to have survived it much longer. We were lucky to be there for her but now we must wait for however long it takes her body to be stable enough for her to wake up.” Yamuraiha explained. Sinbad nodded and turned to leave the room.

“You and Pisti need to stay behind and bathe her. Then dress her in clean clothing. I want guards here at all times outside the door when one of us isn’t with her.” Sinbad said simply before leaving the room, everyone else following besides Pisti, Yamuraiha, and I. I looked once more at Kai before leaving.

3rd POV

                Pisti and Yamuraiha undressed Kai to her undergarments and took wet cloths and gently washed dirt of her body. Once they finished that they put her in fresh undergarments and a sleeping gown. They tucked her in under the covers of the bed. They walked to the door and looked back at the girl after seeing the bruises and scars covered by her dress usually. ‘The poor thing.’ The both thought before leaving the room and heading to their own rooms.
