We met
So long, so long ago
Back to the time
We don't know
Desperate for attention
We ran amok
Holding in hand
Our prideful thoughts. We were but fools
Who thought ourselves wise
Yet now we know
Where our faults lie
Not all we did
Was without measure
But disaster soon
Came from our pleasures. And now I know
You don't remember
The painful things
I brought upon us
Because we were
Too young and stubborn–
We fell apart
All for the better.Forgive and forget
The past we once knew
This distress that I
Finally let go
Don't worry about it–
I'd rather we not
I'm glad you don't
Think of it anymore.
