'Today's reading wasn't what you read. I read it before coming. Didn't you rehearse or what? If you don't know what to do, don't stand there to read.' a woman said rudely to me after mass ended.
It's a weekday evening mass and unfortunately for me, when I got to the lectionary, the page that was opened wasn't the same as the one I rehearsed, so I thought the priest has decided to change the reading and went ahead to read.
After the priest read what I was supposed to read as part of his preaching making me realize I made a mistake.
I approached him to apologise and was stopped by the woman only for her to speak so rudely to me.
I turned around only to realize that the priest was watching and he looked angry.
