Part 10

Eunbi's Pov
(After science class)

School is over, so I decided to wait on Jeongin at the front. I wait for around 5 minutes, then Jeongin comes out. We walk to this small coffee shop, when we arrive you can smell the coffee from outside.

We walk in and it smells so good! Jeongin shows me to the back, and tells his boss that I'm here to apply.

Jeongin's boss walks in, and we both walk to a table in the main room. He gives me a Pastry then starts to interview me, and then leaves me alone at the table, dumbfounded. He didn't talk much, besides asking me the questions. He kept a straight face, and a Monotone voice. Then he just got up and left, with no word.

Jeongin comes and sits beside me, and asks how it went. I explain to him, and how I don't know if I got it.

He comes back, and hands me a paper. Then tells me to fill it out. I fill out the paper and hand it to him, he simply says "I'll email you in a few days to tell you if you got the job. If I don't send any email, you didn't get it." Then leaves again.

I look at Jeongin in shock.

"Don't worry, you'll make it." Jeongin smiles, "but he always acts like that, so you'll have to get used to it."

"Oh, okay." I say then awkwardly smile.

"I don't have work today, so I'll walk you home."

I choke,"Umm, I don't think that would be the best idea haha."

"Why not?" He asks as we start to walk.

"Well, lets just say. My dad is strict about me being with a guy." I laugh awkwardly.

"Oh, he must be scared he'll loose his little girl." Jeongin smiles.

"Something like that.."

"I'll just walk you close to your house, then watch you go in. To make sure you're safe."

"Okay, thank you."

"No worries."

3rd Person Pov

Once they get close to Eunbi's house, Jeongin stops.

"This is as far as I'll go, go ahead." Jeongin states.

"Thanks for walking me, I'll see you tomorrow." Eunbi smiles.

"Your welcome, see ya!" He waves her bye.

She walks in her front gate, then through her front door. She tries to get to her room quietly but..

"Eunbi! You little brat!!" her dad screams, he stomps over to her. "Where have you been!!?"

"No where." she responds in a cold tone.

"You are an hour late! I told you this a thousand times already. You don't deserve friends, and you're not going to school to get them. You're so fucking ugly! You should be-" 

"Glad that Aunt Chunja pays for my school." She cuts him off.

"Don't mock me you little shit!"

"Stop drinking you alcoholi-" SMACK Eunbi's dad slaps her across her face, it echoes across the house. She tries to hold back her tears. "Get,. The fuck.. away from me!!" she shouts pushing him away from her.

"Oh, you're gonna get it you bitch!" He screams and starts chasing after her. She runs up the stairs, because he's too out of shape to catch her. She runs into her room and locks the door.

Right as she locks the door he starts pounding on it with his fists.

"Open the door!" He shouts. Eunbi sits at the door, holding her cheek, crying, until he finally gives up.

She ended up falling asleep, still sitting at the door, not realizing it...
