Decisions

Raphael sat Simon on the ground and began to explain what happened and Clary explained exactly who Simon was.
"Okay so what the next step are we going to bury him or let him die." Cheyanne said looking at Simon sadly. She had always felt bad about how some vampires came to be.
"I- I don't know" Clary said sniffling as she held Simon's hand. "You have to make a decision soon otherwise he will die" Raphael said looking at her. "I KNOW! I just. This is all your fault you stupid, useless Vamp!" Clary yelled looking at Raphael with fury in her eyes. "Hey! I understand you're upset about your friend but you can't take it out on Raph. It's not his fault." Cheyanne said defending Raphael.
Much like her sister, Cheyanne gets along very well with Downworlders and she even has some that she trusts; including Raphael.
"What do you know? Have you ever had to choose whether some lived or died? Alright then just shut the hell up!" Clary said starting to panic. Jace went to console Clary as Alec and Izzy turned Cheyanne who had a deep frown on her face. "Chy I'm sure didn't mean it. She's just upset" Izzy said squeezing her sister's shoulder. "I don't care what's wrong with her; if she ever talks to me like that again I'll rip her tongue out with my bare hands" Cheyanne replied fuming. "Relax sis, she won't speak to you like that again. I won't let her, especially since we shared our ceremony with her" Alec said hugging his sister,  feeling her completely calm down.
Cheyanne walked over to where Nova and Raphael stood. "How you feeling Raph?" Cheyanne said hugging her friend. "I'm a little distraught but I'm okay, thanks for defending me." Raphael said smiling at her while holding Nova's hand.
"Yeah she was out of line for speak to you and Raph like that but I know she's hurting so I'm giving her a pass" Nova said playfully rolling her eyes.
"She only gets a pass because Iz and Alec calmed me down" Cheyanne says scowling as she looked at her family and Jace trying to console Clary who was balling her eyes out.
"It seems like everywhere that girl goes trouble follows" Nova said looking at Clary. "I know and I don't like it. She's dragged me and my family into her drama all because Stupid Jace is whipped" Cheyanne said in complete distaste.
"The boy still has a few hours and I feel like my presence is making things worse for the Fairchild girl so we'll leave" Raphael said while straightening his suit jacket.
"Okay, will you let us know when she makes a decision so that we can come back? Nova asked as she grabbed Raphael's hand. The two of them have been dating for almost 2 years.
"Of course, if I don't kill her first" Cheyanne said half jokingly. "Okay please be careful and try not kill anybody" Nova said slightly shoving her.
"No promises" Cheyanne replied with a smile and shoved her back. Cheyanne walked back over to everyone surrounding Simon's body.
"Where did they go?" Isabelle asked when Cheyanne got close enough. "Raph decided it would be best if he gave her some space so that she could make her decision and of course Nova went with him" Cheyanne said as she adjusted her dress. "Why would she have gone with the vampire, isn't he dangerous?" Clary asked sniffing.
"Not all vampires are dangerous and Raphael is her boyfriend" Cheyanne replied as nice as she could muster up. "WHAT! She's dating a dead guy, what is wrong with her. She must be crazy to date a downworlder" she spat with such hatred. "Before anyone realized it Cheyanne had marched over to Clary slapped her in the face hard. "Listen to me little girl, I don't know who the hell you think you are but Nova is my BEST friend and Raph has been a good friend for YEARS; so don't speak on what you know nothing about. I've put up with your theatrics and insufferable attitude because I care for my siblings deeply, but I've had ENOUGH of you. I will not put up with your temper tantrums, I will not put up with your annoying little attitude and I DEFINITELY will not put up with your racism toward Downworlders or you disrespecting ANYONE that I care about. So help me if I hear it again I will break every bone in your weak little body. Are.we.understood." Cheyanne seethed as everyone around her stared at her in shock.
"I SAID ARE WE UNDERSTOOD!" Cheyanne yelled. "Y-yeah" Clary said in shaky voice still holding her face. Cheyanne walked away with Alec and Izzy right behind her. "That was badass Chy. I've never seen you that riled up before" Isabelle smiled with pride at her sister. "I know, but Raph and Nova are family and I don't play about family and that little girl needed to learn her place. I do kinda feel bad about slapping her tho" Cheyanne said with her arms folded over her chest and a serious look in her face.
"She'll be fine. If she has any hope of becoming a Shadowhunter she needs to be prepared for way worse than that" Alec chimed in wrapping his arm around his sister.  "Thanks guys for having my back, I love you" Cheyanne said hugging her siblings. "We love you too" Alec replied squeezing his sisters before they all went to their rooms to change out of the party clothes.
After changing into comfortable clothes Cheyanne laid on her bed waiting for one of her siblings to come in with an update.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
Cheyanne sat up as she heard a knock on her door and said, "Come in." "She's made a decision" is all Isabelle said before they left out of her room.
