Chapter 12: Date Night

Halos maiyak na ako sa sobrang dami ng trabaho. The past few days were very terrible. So far, wala naman akong palpak kasi Ms. Jane was there for me. Paano ba ito nagagawa ni daddy lahat?

Its my third day sa firm. Actually I'm having a meeting right now, this is my fourth and last meeting of the day. Hay, makakapagpahinga na rin ako sa wakas.

Dumaan muna ako sa Cafe d' Thalia para makapag relax bago umuwi. I ordered my usual faves.

I grabbed my phone and opened it, "When are you taking me out Ms. Sophia?"

Ano daw? Sino ba tong nagtext sakin, unknown number pa naman.

"Who is this please?", medyo ilang minuto din bago ako ni replyan. "Oh I'm sorry, this is Kevin Aragon."

"Ah, ikaw pala yan. Where did you get my number?"

"I got it from your friend, Leslie. Am I disturbing you right now?"

"Maybe."

"Really? I'm Sorry"

natawa ako konte dun ah, "Haha. Just Kidding. How can I help you?"

"I'm just wondering, when are you gonna pay me?"

may utang ba ako dito? di ko ata maalala. "Pay? Did I borrowed some money? How much? Sorry, I forgot."

"HAHAHA. No, I mean, you owe me a date right?" naging reply naman nito.

DATE? Ano yun? Bakit naman ako makikipagdate sa kanya? Omo! Oo nga pala, I promised to treat him sometime. "Oh that one, sorry nakalimutan ko, I've been very busy this past few days."

"Don't worry about it, I was just checking up on you. It can wait."

"No, it's ok. We can meet tomorrow night. Are you available?"

"Of course. I'm very available. I'm all yours." hayan na naman siya, napaka ano ng mga nirereply.

"Is that a yes?"

"Yes."

"Alright, I'll just message you the place and time."

"Ok. Goodnight Sophia. See you tomorrow night. 😊" may pa smiley face patong nalalaman ha.

"Goodnight."

A night with Kevin Aragon? that playboy? What a nightmare! Pero I can't help myself from smiling a little bit. I can't describe it, medyo naeexcite din ako sa thought na may ka date ako bukas.

"Ang ingay naman. Buhay ka pa pala? Antagal mo atang di nagparamdam."

"Ah, hehe. Araw araw akong pagong sis, dalawang linggo na lang, ikakasal na ako. Nakakaloka! Ikaw din naman, parang kinareer mo na din yung pagiging accountant mo ah."

"Alam mo namang no choice po ako."

"Maiba nga tayo, ba't ang ganda ganda mo ata ngayon? San po tayo gagala ngayon gabi?"

"May lakad lang ako, it's not a big deal."

"Date? Teka, teka, oh em geee! You're going on a date?"
