SHE'S THE ONE
"Mahal kita!" Nagbabagang mata ang sumalubong sa kanya nang sinigaw niya iyon. Kahit hindi niya aaminin, alam niyang natatakot siya dito.
"What did you just say?"
She whimpered and bit her lower lip as she took valor to look straight into his raging eyes. "M-Mahal kita, Sian."
Ilang segundo itong natigilan bago nawala lahat ng ekspresyon sa mukha nito.
He laughed without humor. "Mahal mo ako?" She nodded. Napapitlag siya nang sumigaw ito. "Bullshit! Love? After what you did?! May gana ka pang sabihing mahal mo ako?!"
Napaiyak na siya. "M-Mahal kita. Mahal na mahal kita." Tanga na kung tanga pero hindi niya isusuko ang pagmamahal niya para sa asawa.
"After you trapped me in this fucking marriage?! Kung mahal mo ako, hindi mo sana ako hinayaang ikasal sa'yo!" Sigaw nito.
She didn't speak, she just cried and cried.
"Alam mong may hinahanap ako. Alam mong may mahal akong iba. At alam na alam mong ang hinahanap ko ang gusto kong pakasalan. And you still insisted this marriage! You could have declined! And now, you're suffering! Whose fault? You! You ruined my life, Iyah. This marriage forbade me to find the woman I truly love. And I'll never forgive you for that." Litanya nito bago siya tinalikuran.
"Sian! She's nowhere to be found! Why can't you love me instead?" Pahabol niyang sabi.
Napahinto ito at nakangising nilapitan siya. He reached for her chin and forcefully lifted it up. She feels like her jawbones will crack anytime to the way he held her. "Why can't I love you instead? You knew why." He then kissed her harshly. "Because you're nothing but a slave who'll fulfill my sexual needs. You want the harsh way? You're. Just. My. Whore." At pabalang na binitawan ang kanyang panga bago ito tuluyang lumisan.
Napahagulgol siya. Alam naman niyang kasalanan niya kung bakit ito gano'n. Pero isang babae lang siya na nagmahal, na gagawin ang lahat para makasama ang pinakamamahal niya. But she guess, she did it the wrong way. She wanted it so she should face the consequences.
She was once his bestfriend. And she clearly knew that he's in love with someone else and he's searching for that woman which was his childhood sweetheart. It's his first and greatest love. But because she's madly in love with him, she made a very evil plan. She made him drunk and seduce him and they happened. Boom. Her parents caught them and insisted a marriage. She's very happy but as soon as they got married, she regretted everything. But she won't give up easily, she'll fight her love for
him whatever it takes.
Ano bang tawag sa mga katulad niya? Ah oo, martyr. She don't mind being one if that's the only way to be with the man she loves. Titiisin niya lahat. Hindi siya susuko.
"IYAH, HIWALAYAN MO NA 'yang asawa mo. Pakiusap, maawa ka naman sa sarili mo. Your marriage is toxic." Sabi ng kaibigan niya.
Umiiling-iling siya. "No. That toxicity is the only thing that keeping me alive, Fae. Hanggang kaya ko, lalaban ako. "
"Pero Iyah, paano kung sumuko ang—"
Pinigilan niya ito. "Shh. Don't worry about me. You couldn't do anything. I love him, okay? He's my happiness. You're not going to take my happiness away, are you?"
Napabuntong-hininga ito. "Ewan ko sa'yong babae ka. Kahit anong gawin ko, hindi naman kita mapipigilan. Just take care of yourself. Please know your limits. Hindi pupwedeng forever ka na lang martyr at mapagkumbabang asawa. Kapag sobra na, itigil mo na. Kapag wala ka nang makapitan, bumitaw ka na. Kapag ubos na ubos ka na, sumuko ka na. There's no reason for you to hold on anymore. Letting go and giving up is the right thing to do, my friend."
