My Little Family

Welcome home!

Today was finally the day the little family got to go home. As much as they loved all the help they were getting from the nurses, especially with being first time moms. They were just ready to be in their own home. The moms knew they had nothing to worry about while getting ready to go home because Mike was there taking care of everything.

Aden's doctor had given the go ahead to be discharged. Aden was a healthy baby boy and Chrissy was healing fairly well. There was no other reason for them to stay. Ally had gone down to pull up the car while Nurse Taylor wheeled Chrissy and Aden out of the hospital. Little man was fast asleep as he laid in his mommy's arms. The motion of the wheelchair settled his body, keeping him calm.

"Thank you so much for all of your help." Chrissy looks up at Nurse Taylor with a smile as he puts the breaks on the chair. Nurse Taylor has been with them since Chrissy went into labor. "We definitely couldn't not have don't this without you. You have truly been the best." Tears start to sting Chrissy's eyes.

"Oh sweet heart don't cry! Its been my pleasure." Taylor rubs her hand up and down Chrissy's arm, pulling out a tissue from his pocket handing it to her. "Here you go love. No need for the tears. And this little guy has been so great to work with." Taylor takes his finger gently rubbing it on Aden soft cheek.

" Ugh.. I'm always crying. I'm so over these hormones." Chrissy says wiping her face. "All I do is cry" She says while Taylor let out a giggle and Chrissy let's out more of a stressed laugh.

Ally pulls up with the car. She hops out with a huge smile on her face ready to get her wife and son home. Her smile fades when she see's the tears in her wife's eyes.

"What's wrong love? Are you ok?" Ally asked looking back and forth at the two women.

"I'm fine baby. I promise. I was just thanking Nurse Taylor for all of her help and my hormonal ass stated to cry." Chrissy holds out her hand for Ally to grab to insure her that she was really ok and she had nothing to be worried about.

Ally looks at her with one eyebrow raised. She then looks at Nurse Taylor.

"She's ok Ally. Just an emotional moment." Taylor smiles to put the concerned wife at ease. "The emotion will run all over the place for the next couple of days..." Ally grabs Aden out of Chrissy's arms while Taylor helps her out of the chair. " So take it easy ok mommy?" The nurse says looking at Chrissy. "And a lot of extra love definitely won't hurt." She diverts her eyes to Ally as they both share a smile.

Ally gets Aden into his car seat. She makes sure he is all set to go with the buckle snug on his chest and the waist straps comfortably snug on his little legs. She bent down kissing his soft forehead.

"Alright buddy. You ready to go home?" Of course Ally didn't expect a reply back, but Aden let out a small grunt and then a small smile formed on his little face. "Well I'll take that as a yes..." Aden then lets out another grunt with the sound of him filling his diaper right after. "Yep! Definitely time to get you home stinky butt"

"Everything ok babe?" Chrissy calls out.

"Yep." Ally says backing up so her wife could slide in by their son. "Little man is just leaving a nice surprise in his diaper for Papa Mike." The three women share a giggle. Chrissy gives Taylor one last thank you and a hug as she slides in getting her self comfortable.

"All set Honey Bunny!" Chrissy finds her self in a happy mood. She lets out a big grin to Ally as she closes the door.

"See what I mean?" Nurse Taylor says to Ally.They both share a laugh.

"Again, Thank you so much for all you have done for my little family." Ally hugs Taylor and then heads to the drivers side.

"No problem love! Enjoy that precious baby boy!" Taylor hugs back. She gives one last wave as Ally pulls off.

"Welcome home! Oh I'm so happy to see you all!" Mike hollers making his way to the car that just pulled up.

"Hi Dad! We are definitely happy to be home." Ally says as she's getting Aden out of the car with his car seat.

"And how are you sweet girl?" Mike says helping Chrissy out of the car. " Look at you. Did you even have a baby?" He says with a grin on his face. Chrissy smiles at him wrapping her arm around her father in-laws arm.

"I'm doing ok Papa. And you're just saying that... I still look like I'm about 6 months pregnant." Mike bends down placing a kiss on his daughter-in-laws cheek.

"Baby girl you're beautiful." He shares another smile with Chrissy as she leans into him for a little support.

They all make their way into the house getting settled. Ally changed Aden's bum right away and handing him to Chrissy.

"Oh.. It ok babe I'm going to get in the shower..." Chrissy says gently pushing Aden back into her wife's arms. She slowly stood up from the couch." You know just to get the hospital smell off of me. And I'm sure Papa wants a turn." Chrissy gives her wife a faint smile.

"Oh Papa would love a turn. Come here little man." Mike says with the biggest smile on his face holding out his arms

" Ok babe...Do you need any help?" Ally moves over laying Aden in his Grandpas arms. Mike happily taking him just loving the fact that his grandson was finally with him.

"No, no...Its ok. Its just a quick shower. I'll be back love." Chrissy makes her way into their bedroom.

"Well...call me if you need me. I'll be right here. Ok?" Ally goes to give Chrissy a kiss, rubbing her hand on her cheek. She feels Chrissy melt a little into her. But the sweet moment between the couple didn't last long as Chrissy pulls away. She quickly wipes a tear that's fallen from her eyes.

"I will baby. Thank you..." Before Ally could say anything else her wife was closing the door to their bedroom. Ally stood there for a minute contemplating on going in or not. She hears the shower being turned on.

Deciding to give her love some space, she takes a deep breath and makes her way back to her Father and son. The rest of the evening went well. Mike was on cloud nine being around his grandson and his daughters. He loved this little family with all of his heart and he would truly do anything for them. Chrissy slowly found her way out of her dark mood and just enjoyed her baby. Feeding Aden always brought a smile to her face and calmness to her heat. It was an amazing bonding moment and nothing could break that. Ally knew it was going to be an emotional rollercoaster with her and her wife being new moms, But she was determined to make the best out of every situation. Good or bad.
