That's the Moral of The Story

Once the brownie was devoured followed by a cookie, Emma decided that she was sufficiently fuelled for battle. Both she and Caleb marched back to their dorms. Forgetting the cluster of reporters camped outside.

They were soon reminded, however when flashes were going off and questions were being hurled left, right and centre.

'Emma is that your new boyfriend?'

'Emma how are you doing after your breakup with Theo?'

'Emma is it true that you think the 'Flamefighters' are stupid?'

All the voices were blending into one loud shout- overwhelming Emma.

But still she powered through, motivated more by the frustrations from the media comments.

Bursting through the doors- albeit they were delayed from trying to turn the key, Emma set her eyes on her target who was casually lounging on the sofa.

'Angie.' Her normal soft tone was now full of anger.

The named girl arose from her spot, annoyance written over her face.

'Yep.' Angie replied in a bored manner.

Her lack of response made Emma's anger increase to levels she had never known existed. However, this was a girl she trusted, who she let in. Only for her to spill all her private conversations.

How dare she?

'How could you?' The question had been playing on Emma's mind- even before Angie. She wanted to know why people thought it was acceptable to reveal business which was no part to them. Why did people think that it was ok?

'Because you don't deserve Emmett. You never will. You just come here- with no prior fan knowledge. You cause so much trouble for him. You don't deserve him. You just don't.'

Angie's face transformed from indifference to annoyance the more she worked herself up. But Emma was already there.

'And you do? You thought that you were entitled to play God in mine and Theo's relationship? That you could make Theo happier? Newsflash- if you ever think that you know more than the person next to you- it doesn't matter how clever you are, you are always going to do the wrong thing. Life is not about thinking that you have the power to decide how everything is done- of that was how the world was run then it would be in complete chaos. Here's a tip- you will never get to decide my happiness or Theo's happiness. It is never going to be any of you business.' Hot tears of frustration were coming to Emma's eyes as she realised that, despite never wanting to give in, she had given Angie and the world exactly what they wanted.

She and Theo had split up- and she was more miserable than ever.

Yet her stubbornness refused to let Angie show that she had won. Good always triumphed and the words which Emma had told herself about no longer wallowing in self-pity were ringing around her brain. She was strong. She was going to find light at the end of the tunnel.

With those words of affirmation resounding in her head, Emma turned on her heels, leaving a flabbergasted Angie and an impressed Caleb in her wake.

Undecided what to do yet, Emma settled for walking out of the dorm and figuring it out when she was away from the intense environment.

Taking the back exit to avoid the cameras and hopefully another scandalous article, she mentally patted herself on the back for her stroke of genius.

However, this was short-lived upon the realisation that she was bored and no longer wanted to be alone. She missed having fun times.  Now Emma was seriously regretting leaving her phone. Surprisingly it came in handy- who would have thought?
