BFB 22 is one of the best episodes of BFB post-split. The writing was good, most of the jokes were good, and the animation was great as always.
I'm really sad that Taco got eliminated because, ya know, I voted for her. And she got out by ONE VOTE. HOLY SHIT. Who I'm voting now? Leafy. In my opinion, Leafy is the best written character on her team. She now has a good relationship with Firey (who I low-key kinda wanna ship her with) and there's gonna be some drama with her and the rest of her team for, ya know, making them lose? It also helps that Bubble and Teardrop never do anything, and that Lollipop and Gelatin are now comic reliefs
The challenge was also really cool. A court? Um, yes please! It was like a child-friendly "who done it?" And the challenge also didn't seem forced. So that's a plus.
The Fireafy parts.... yeah I liked them. They were done well, and maybe their conversation could have been the conversation Taco and Book would of have (yes I'm still upset over that). It's great how the writers got them to be friends and it didn't feel forced. Their friendship feels genuine and the animation for when Leafy got burnt to death was AMAZING. Also, the animation in the old BFDI style was AMAZING as well, and now we know how the BFDI cast found Leafy and started chasing her.
Also, in Cary's reaction video, he said that Taco had a fear of heights... even though it's probably not canon
I'm still headcanonning that Taco has a fear of heights.
Overall, the episode was great, and I hope to see more character development from the other characters in the future!
