Epilogue

Kaycie's P.O.V

I looked into the body length mirror, admiring the beautiful white wedding dress I wore.  My dark brown hair in loose curls' , with red lipstick, white eye shadow, and my eyes lined with black eyeliner.

Vic had proposed six months ago, a month after our daughter, Delanie Clare Fuentes was born on January 3rd, which was just eleven days before Kenzie's birthday.

Kenzie walked towards me, my veil in hand.  She sat it on top of my head and stepped away. "How do I look?" I ask her.

"Prefect, why even ask? I am the one who did your hair and makeup." She said in a sassy voice.

"Oh my God, what if I fall? Or trip?"

"Your not going to fall or trip.  You'll be fine, I promise." There was a knock on the door the led to my room.

Kenzie walked over to the door, she slightly opened it so who even it was couldn't see me.  She opened the door wider letting in whoever was at the door.  Tony, Kellin who was holding Delanie, Rosie, and Kate who had Lucy in her arms, and Mike.  There was another knock on the door, before Kenzie could answer it, Jaime walked in.

"Are you ready?  Vic's at the attire and everyone's waiting."  He said.

   "Yeah"

"Okay, I'll go tell them to start the ceremony."  He walked out of the room.  It was filled with nervous but excited energy as I heard the organ begin to play the familiar tune, Rosie―who was the flower girl―picked up her basket and began to gently toss red rose petals here and there down the isle.  Kenzie―she was the maid of honor― and Tony―who was her escort and one of Vic's groomsmen―followed close behind, Tony carrying Lucy and Kenzie carrying Delanie, they were the ring bearers', they received a chorus of 'awws' and smiling faces.  In the hands of Lucy and Rosie were the wedding bands.  Next came Kate as the bridesmaid and Mike who was another one of Vic's groomsmen.  Once they got to the alter it was Kellin's and I's turn.  I laced my arm through his, and he gave me a proud and encouraging smile as we got to the steps that lead to the alter where he hands me off to Vic.  Vic stood waiting―probably just as nervous and anxious as me―as Kellin kissed my cheek and handed me off to Vic.  Kellin turned around and walked over to the left side of the pews to take his seat next to his wife, Katelynne and daughter, Copeland.  Vic playfully glared at him but then turned back to face me, and as the pastor began reading I realized all was as it should be.  Everything I'd ever dreamed of was right in front of my eyes.  A perfect group of family and friends and a happiness I could live on all of my life.  All of the sacrifices, losses, pain . . . everything that had happened in the past led to this moment.  A moment that was all ours.

"Do you, Victor Fuentes, take Kaycie Anderson to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in heath, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?"

Vic looked into my eyes, "I do."

The pastor turned to me, "Do you, Kaycie Anderson, take Victor Fuentes to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in heath, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?"

   "I do."

The pastor faced the crowd, "I now pronounce you husband and wife." he turned to Vic. "You may kiss the bride."  Vic lifted my vial, he leaned down and connected our lips.  As he brook away, the crowd cheered, Vic and I's eyes meet, his filled with love and mine too.

I knew this was the beginning of something great.
