I WOULDN'T DARE TO PICK A ROSE

I wouldn't dare to pick a rose
A rose that is filled with thorns
What good will it bring me?
Nothing but a handful of tragedy
Is it worth the cut of my skin?
Is it worth the drop of blood from my veins?
It wasn't even peculiar
For I can see it everywhere
Anyone has it but me?
I wouldn't dare

Not until I see this one.

Dashing and almost covered with glitters
She was the sunray's favorite
Dancing in the middle like a melow song
I am in awe as I grimace at her image
A girl dressed in flowy red dress
She's made of dreams and passion finesse
Who would have thought that in that moment?

My universe was born in torment
How could someone be this uncanny
How could someone be this bold
Or is it just what I was told?
The tale I have always believed in unfold
So I dare not
To be entangled with this enchantress

Her hair exploded like frails of peril
She was both danger and refuge; it felt surreal
Absurd like how the alps could melt
I have met one stunning lady on the delt

Mystery traveled the space she occupies
And I was too late to realize,
I was drawn and petrified
Now I am defying the tale
That I shouldn't dare
But she was captivating enough
For my soul to reach her soft hands

That's when I knew why I said
I wouldn't dare to pick a rose

Swift motions of floating candles
She led me towards the edge
How she gracefully unraveled a part of her
Falling into the deepest water

She furrowed her brows when something confuses her
She bits her lips for she can't lie at all
She smiles and beams towards the serene blue clouds
She was simple yet extravagant
She was ordinary yet peculiar
She was frequent yet bizarre
She was weak yet strong
She was plain yet colorful
She was selfish yet kind
She was adorable yet fierce

Tell me how can someone be this silly?
This girl was made with every bit of irony

Her antics and faked bravery
Her intelligence that rests array
She was more than her red dress and glossy lips
More than her beautiful long lashes
She was more than her soulful eyes
More than her hair on ashes
The word enough is a shame to her name
For the universe couldn't deny
That she is more than a girl in my eyes
Something that can't be explained
But you'll easily understand when you met her gazes
No one has that pair but hers
She was always more than enough
For she could do more
Until she can be the most of it

Mesmerized as she hums my favorite song
I closed my eyes
I was enthralled by the beauty of this princess
It was like drowning in water with no plans of coming back
Even the thoughts of breathing faded
For I am now completely saudade
And there I saw we're moving past the currents
Sitting on a lone small boat
Facing each other like a melancholic dilemma

She smiled as if she knew who I was
Flowers spring in the middle
As the boat approaches the dock
walking in a speed of light I felt the damp grass

She continued the song she was humming
As my eyes started to drift
On the color that was once I avoided
The color of roses in  bright red
Swallowing the piece of sanity within me
I haven't realized what I was doing
Gliding my hands through every bushes
Of thorns and sorrow pieces

Ticking off the pain that I've felt
I was pricked a million times
My eyes were close while walking through
I'm in a maze that is filled with hue

The smell of metal from my own skin
I stared at my bleeding fingers
It was tiny but I have felt the agony— it lingers
The girl made its way towards me
Smiling perfectly
Like the world could fall under her feet easily

Shallow and blurry lines cross my vision
As I stared at her face
The knowledge behind my tale was laying in a haze
The moment I let myself dared to pick it up
Was the time I am accepting my fate

It was the exact reason I couldn't bare
The explanation behind I wouldn't dare
It was because it felt so wrong to have this perfect beauty

Intimidated by the sudden stares she gave
Lowering her iris on my hands
Staring at it as if she knew
I have broken a vow, I once bestow

Ignited feeling started to spread
So this is how it feels to fall in love
So this how it feels to see yourself in another perspective
She smiled at me like a faded memory
I saw a glimpse of unshaken catastrophe
But I know this girl can withstand any of it
For like this rose she was perfectly imperfect

It was an emblem that signifies her
Telling everybody how a rose can be
A danger and a beauty
Thorns were like insignias of her soul
That she's cunning and brave
Headstrong and determined
Scarred but at the same time healing

She was the embodiment of a rose you see
Growing 'till she become the incandescent flower she can be
Her thorns weren't there to put u in danger
But to show you a simple.reminder
Of how she was made of
Of how she was built
She comes with grief and agony
Pain and distant sadness away
But everything was part of her

I've searched the place to look for her
But she was nowhere to be found
Where did that girl go?
I assumed she left with no trace
But I have a bright, beautiful, red rose
Placed on top of my scorching hand

In my mind were haywired of familiar thoughts
The rose spoke and sang a familiar song
It was almost in my memory prolong
Whispering on my ears of words that were unspoken
She said

"I hope you can see yourself in me
A beauty that doesn't fade away
I might wither and dry
But never you will
There is no other rose like you
Not in this lifetime
I am happy that you and I
We're the same"

Staring at the clear waters ahead
It clearly showed a picture
A girl dancing in flowy red dress
Catching the sunrays for she was their favorite
Heavenly favored and blessed
Now I can clearly see her
She has my face
The girl in flowy red dress
The alluring enchantress
The perfect bright rose in place
