once upon a coffee

Friend Or Foe.. Let It All Go.

I woke up in a much softer bed this morning, and to my surprise in the arms of lizzy and we were both lying on the bed naked. Shit! What have I done... I slept with my best friend's girlfriend! And it was her house I was at. That means I was here all night? I checked my phone for any messages or miss calls, and I wasn't that shocked to see those miss calls and messages in my phone but I was feeling ashamed of myself..

This was not how it had supposed to ended this was bad. I was a monster! But I couldn't just go letting lizzy sleep, I mean she might feel that I used her or something.

"l-lizzy.." I said stammering as I was scared how her reaction will be to this. But lizzy looked so beautiful while she was asleep. I wonder how I never saw lizzy this beautiful before and never paid attention to her.

*a message came on my phone *

"where have you been all night I have called you more ten times! "It was Ron.

I'm sure he must be making many assumptions. And this made my condition worse! What would I say to Ron? I gathered my clothes and got ready for office, Today it was a half day since it was a Saturday.

I left a note on the table next to lizzy since I didn't want to wake her up and find herself in a uncomfortable situation.

I took a taxi as I had left my car at home.

Well while I was sitting in the cab many thoughts came to my mind. What if Ron finds out about this? Was I.. No I can't be in love with lizzy, I just got to know her last night.

"we're here sir"

"Hun.. Oh yeah I'm sorry.. How much is it?"I said shaking myself from the thoughts I had been having all the way.

"$45.."

I entered the office not willing to face anybody and trying to hide myself from people and most importantly Ron. Well he was not coming to the office from past two days. Maybe he might not come today also.. I entered the lift thinking that in between all this I totally forgot about emilly. Where was she? Why didn't she come yesterday?

The lift opened and I left the lift looking for emilly, I wanted to ask her what made her ditch me at the last moment.

I suddenly bumped into something hard.

"watch it Alex. What are you dreaming about? A new job.. Well you should be boss isn't happy with you nowdays"

"oh no im sorry Steve.. But i guess who was given the responsibility for the new project? "I said with sarcasm. As even he knew it was me. So maybe it is him who should be looking for a new job!

" attention everybody.. I want to make a announcement.. I want you all to attend the office party today at my house thank you... "Said boss but he didn't have that same annoying expression on his face, He was smiling. That was new. And he left happily.. I guess he was not going to fire anybody today even if somebody threw ink on his new shirt. I turned around and went to my desk. threw my bag on the desk. Opened my laptop and started working trying to focus on my work.

"I'm sorry I couldn't come yesterday, my friend was not feeling well and I didn't have your number so that I could inform you "said a familiar and low voice. And as expected it was emilly standing across a partition which surround all the desk which were spread across the whole floor. Well I never noticed but she had her desk right in front of me.

" well yeah I waited for you for an hour or so... But thats alright and yeah next time we go on a date-" I suddenly realised what I had said and was cut off by emilly. "date?"

"Um well yeah.. I mean I'm sorry but yeah next time we go together "I said completing my sentence quickly and covering what I had said.

" okay and give me your number.. "I gave emilly my number and she set off to her work that she had...
