1 • Mocking stars

It's dark outside, silence fills the area. You're listening to some music to help fill the void. You sigh as you look up, to see the night sky filled with stars.
They're pretty bright out tonight.
You think to yourself, smiling a little. You've always liked stargazing, it makes you feel a little better.

You shuffle a bit, trying to sit more comfortably against the abandoned train.

This is pretty much your safe place, no loud sounds around you, no bright lights and nothing else that gives you a headache.

Sometimes you find other people around here, but when you see any people around these parts you try to avoid them.
This was your safe space after all, and you didn't have the energy for social interactions.

However, sometimes you don't even want to sit down, either. You like exploring the abandoned area as well, because there's nothing else to do.

Actually, you were kind of in the mood for some exploring tonight, now that you think about it.

You let out a small "oof" as you stand up, resting your hands on your knees.
I'm terribly out of shape.
You chuckle a little.

But, the calm is disrupted by someone running past you. Your recognize him, his name was,,,

What was his name again? Jake I think? Behind him is the guard who patrols this area, Ted.
Jake shoots you a quick look before waving at you.
Of course he'd recognize you, even though you tried to avoid the subway surfers.

Trying not to be rude, you wave back, with a small smile.
However, you didn't want to get caught for trespassing as well, so you decided to walk around for a bit to avoid the guard.

After walking for a while you find a fence with a door behind it, possibly leading to a tunnel or something. Weird, you've never seen it before. The moonlight and the stars shine a midnight blue, making the abandoned area kinda pretty. You decide to sneak past the fencing and open the door.
Yep, that's a tunnel, nice. The long stairways are dimly lit by the moonlight, so you open up your phone, activating your flashlight.

As you make your way down you notice how creepy this tunnel actually looks. It feels... unsafe? But, fuck it, you're almost downstairs, so might as well continue, right?

You make your way through the tunnel over the tracks, making sure not to step on anything weird.
Then you find an open area, blue light shines from above. There's an abandoned train as well, it looks very broken. The windows are shattered, probably from some sort of crash.

Neat footsteps can be heard behind you. You don't recognize the foot pattern, so you hide in the abandoned train, thinking it might protect you.
Then, another light shines through the tunnel, you can see it moving along the patterns of the footsteps.

A man walks past the train you hide in, you can only see his back, though.
He has pretty brown hair and he wears a suit. He holds a suitcase in his hand and some sort of traveling device in his other hand. You can also see that he's wearing a mask, the shape kind of looks like a bunny mask or something.

He walks further until his device apparently tells him that he arrived to his destination. He puts his suitcase down and grabs some sort of key, putting it into the wall. Suddenly, the wall opens up, and the man eagerly puts his hands on the control panel. After that, the wall lights up a bright cyan-blue. The symbol that lights up resembles some sort of infinity icon. The man takes a few steps back, admiring what he just did. A beam of light shines to the other side of the tunnel, hitting the wall. Metal starts floating in the air. But, something's wrong. The graffiti blocks the other symbol. When the masked man sees the problem, he goes to the other side in lightning-speed. He opens his suitcase and grabs a spray-can. He tries to fix it, but light is already coming through the tunnel. He looks at his device hastily again, desperately trying to fix the problem. But, it's too late. The blue train goes past him. He gets up, desperately holding his hand out, trying to catch the train. But he's too late, the train disappears through some sort of wormhole, making a deafening sound.
