Saige's Point of View
I couldn't help but stare at the quarterback from across the room. The quarterback was my twin brother Alek. We weren't on the best of terms since we were twelve years old. He made friends very easily while I didn't have any friends. He was openly bisexual, and I was openly gay. He had a lot of friends, and I had none.
He had his latest boyfriend hanging off of his arm while they hung out in the cafeteria with their friends. They were laughing at something, I think his name was Nathan said.
I was currently sitting alone at a table waiting for school to start, drawing a sketch of my brother smiling. I missed being at my brother's side, I missed us being inseparable. We used to sleep in the same bed because we never wanted to be apart, not even while we slept.
As I was drawing my brother's face, someone came and sat next to me.
"You have a crush on Alek too" the guy asked, "you're like a lot of us, waiting to be his."
I scruffed, "I don't have a crush on him."
"Then explain the sketch" he demanded.
"He's my twin brother" I said looking down at the sketch, "he has changed a lot from when we were twelve. He had nothing to do with me, and he didn't care about me anymore. He started being an asshole to me at home. I miss the old Alek, the Alek that never wanted to leave my side."
He looked at me in disbelief, "man, you must be really obsessed with him to make up a story like that."
I slammed my sketch book closed and stood up. I looked at the guy in anger, "it's not a story when it's the truth asshole."
He looked at me shocked, and before he could say anything I left him there looking dumbfounded.
I caught a glimpse of Alek, and I saw him looking after me with a frown on his face. I left the cafeteria and went to my locker. I grabbed the stuff I needed when Alek joined me at the locker.
"What did that guy say to you?" Alek asked concerned as his boyfriend latched onto his arm.
"Why do you care?" I asked upset and slammed my locker shut making his boyfriend jump.
"Am I not allowed to be curious about my brother's friends?" Alek asked confused.
"He's not my friend" I said angrily. "That asshole didn't believe me when I said you were my twin. Said I must be so obsessed to make up a story about being your brother." I punched my locker in anger, "I hate assholes like him."
"So assholes like me?" Alek asked curiously.
"You turned your back on me" I said looking at him angrily. "You act like I don't exist until the moment someone pisses me off, you act like I don't exist."
He frowned at me then looked at his boyfriend before looking back at me, "you know that art show you entered your sketch of me in?"
I looked at him confused, "I entered my sketch of mom and dad."
"Who entered a sketch of me then?" he asked concerned.
"Chance Rodgers did" I smirked at him. "You bought Chance Rodger's painting of you?"
"I thought you painted it" he frowned.
"Nope I did a painting of mom and dad which mom bought" I said. "It's hanging in the living room."
"Now I wanna throw up knowing that I bought a painting that was painted by my stalker" Alek pouted.
"Since your boyfriend here is rude" I said then looking at Alek's boyfriend. "I'm Saige, his twin brother."
