Chapter 5: Saige is Gone

Myka's Point of View

I was in the kitchen in the Michaels' house getting Saige something to drink when Alek joined me.

"You know if you hurt Saige in any way, our friendship is over right" Alek said grabbing two more glasses out the cupboard.

"I would never hurt Saige" I said seriously.

"That's what you said about Riley" Alek said, "and you hurt him."

"I didn't hurt him" I said. "I loved Riley. I would have done anything for him, and he made me the bad guy. I was fixing Kayson's car when he was cheating on me. Kayson was leaning against his car talking ninety miles a minute while I was under the hood of the car. Riley was driving by when Kayson and I started rough housing the way we always do. You know how Kay and I are, we don't think of each other that way. He's the brother I never had just like you, Forest and the team." I looked at him hurt, "knowing that you believe Riley over me hurts, Alek. I really like Saige, and I plan to spoil him anyway I can. I can't imagine hurting Saige."

"You really do care for my brother don't you?" Alek asked with a small smile.

"More than I have ever cared about anyone" I said. "When he got kidnapped by Nathan, I was a mess. I was freaking out the entire time until I had him in my arms again."

We got the drinks and headed back upstairs to Saige's room. We stopped by the door because we heard Saige and Tyson talking.

"Do you really like Myka?" Tyson asked curiously.

""He's the first person I have actually liked" Saige said. "He hasn't forced me to do anything I don't want to do."

"And Chancey has?" Tyson asked.

"Chancey basically forced me out of the closet" Saige said. "I wasn't ready to come out. Hell he announced to the school we were dating before he even asked me to be his boyfriend. His announcing us as a couple forced me out of the closet. Chancey was abusive in our relationship. Hell our first time was basically rape."

"Oh my God Saige" Tyson said. "And you stayed with him?"

"He threatened to kill me and himself if I left" Saige said then sighed, "now I'm starting to think he wasn't joking about that. I mean look at me; my leg is broken, my arm was broken, and now I'm basically hiding, running for my life because Chancey can't be found. I'm basically on house arrest because I'm not allowed to go anywhere with the fear of Chancey taking me just as easily as Nathan did. I mean they both like me in an unhealthy way, who's to say they aren't working together?"

"You make a really good point there" Tyson said, "maybe you should tell Myka and Alek that."

"They already know" Saige said.

"How?" Tyson said curiously.

"They have been standing outside the door this whole time" Saige said frowning.

Alek and I walked into the room then, and I handed Saige one of the cups of water.

"How come you didn't tell anyone Chancey was abusive?" I asked.

"He threatened to kill me every time I mentioned going to the police" Said said. "What was I supposed to do? Let him kill me?"

I wrapped my arms around him, "how were you able to get away from him then?"

"I told his father how he was treating me" Saige said seriously. "He wasn't very happy to hear how badly his son was treating the person he claimed to love. He father said to Chancey if he didn't let me go, he was going to beat Chancey's ass himself."

I kissed Saige's cheek as Alek said, "you don't react like you should."

"He beat a lot of emotions out of me" Saige said, "I don't know how to react to a lot of things anymore."

After a couple of days, it was Saturday and I just pulled into the Michaels' driveway. I got out of my car and walked up to the door. I knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer before knocking again. A tired Alek opened the door, and he was going to close the door on me but I had stopped him.

"What the Hell Alek" I said rather annoyed.

"Why are you even here?" Alek asked annoyed. "Didn't you see the news?"

"The news?" I asked confused.

"Saige was taken again" Alek said. "This time by Chancey. That bastard set a ransom. He plans on either killing them both or himself with the assistance of the police. He wants suicide by cop. He wants your father Sargent Night to do it."

"How do you know this?" I asked.

"He left a ransom note on Saige's bed" Alek said like it was obvious.

"So what's being done?" I asked anxiously.

"Mom and dad are at the police station" Alek said. "I'm not allowed to do anything, the team isn't allowed to do anything, and you and Tyson aren't allowed to do anything." He looked at me before finally letting me inside. "Those are orders from Sargent Night himself."

"Well what is he-" Alek cut me off.

"Asshole gave detailed instructions in the ransom" Alek said. "Now shut up, sit down and watch this movie with me."

I sighed but sat down with him to watch the movie. Less than half way through we both started crying, me more so than him. Alek and I even started cuddling to try to calm ourselves down. He let me lay my head on his chest to calm down.

There was a knock on the door and Alek shouted, "it's open!"

In came Tyson, Forest and Kayson. I soon fell asleep knowing it was just them.

When I woke up again, I was still laying on Alek. I rubbed my eyes and Alek rubbed my side.

"Feel better Myka?" Alek asked curiously.

"I will feel better once I have Saige back" I said and sat down. "I hate that fucking Chancey has him, and we have no idea  what is happening to him."

"I understand what you're going through" Alek said. "Saige is my twin, my other half. I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to him."

The rest of the day, I moped around. When I got tired, Mrs. Michaels called for dinner. I went into the dining room and sat down.

"Myka sweetheart" Mrs. Michaels said, "you can sleep here for as long as you like okay. I already told your father that you will be spending a lot of time over here. If you like, you can sleep in Saige's room."

I looked at her and gave her a small smile, "thank you Mrs. Michaels."

"No problem sweetheart" Mrs. Michaels said, "now eat up, don't want you going hungry."

"Take moms advice and eat" Alek said, "because she will force feed you if you don't. She force fed Saige once when he was sick and didn't want to eat."

"Hey" Mrs. Michaels said, "at least now he always eats dinner when it's made."

I nodded and began eating dinner with everyone else.

After dinner, I helped Mrs. Michaels with the dishes.

"So" Mrs. Michaels said as I began to put dishes away. "If you're going to be staying here most days, then you are going to school and doing everything you need to, to make sure Saige's friends don't grow suspensions as to why he isn't there. Just until he's back home and safe."

"I don't think he has any friends" I said frowning. "I mean I never see him with anyone at school. Even at lunch, we make him sit with us instead of sitting by himself."

She gave me a confused look, "he always hung out with a boy named Adam Holmes."

"I have never heard of him" I said frowning.

"Well he hasn't lived here for very long" Mrs. Michaels said. "His family moved here from Arkansas."
