I have been living with my girlfriend 'sam' in our newly bought apartment.
Buying this was one of the greatest decisions of my life, not only we have a comfortable home but also we can spend a lot of more time for each other.
We've been dating for 2 years now and I'll be proposing anytime soon, but I still have to make preparations.
I had my shift done early today so I was alone in our home.
she has her shift done in an hour, so I was just waiting for her.
While I wait, I decided to make some dinner so that she would be relaxed when she gets home.
I got the ingredients on the fridge and I was supposed to start but then the bell rang.
It's 30 mins before her shift ends..who might that be?
I walked to the door and opened it...

It's been 3 years since we broke up, and eventually she was the one decided to end it.
"Steph?"
I managed not to stutter, of course I need to show her that I've move on too you know..it was painful for me when she broke us up...I did still love her..but I love Sam more and I will give everything to her.
"Hey...uhmm...can I come in?"
I blink once, twice...then I opened the door wide and signaled her to come in.
"Sure,"
I smiled.
She smiled back, she comes in and goes in our living room.
"So..what are you doing here?"
I managed to ask.
"Is this your apartment?"
She ask.
"Yeh, mine and my girlfriend's"
Yep, I said that.
She looked at me.
"Is that so?"
I nodded.
"So..mind answering my question a while ago?"
"Oh, sorry..I just..."
She looked at me.
"Miss you..."
She said.
She looked at me with those eye that she used to look at me before
That's it, that's the switch that made me irritated now.
That one word I don't really like hearing.
Miss? 3 years has passed? Now she comes here and tells me she misses me?
"Hmm..is that so?"
I imitated her
"Hey look...I'm very sorry that I-"
"Steph..look, we're not going to talk about our past anymore, your broke it off, I didn't want to but you still had, you said there will be no future for us, and I understand, what I don't understand is that after 3 years, why would you just suddenly appear and act like nothing happened?"
I snapped but I keep my voice calm and steady..
"Okay..Nicole..just listen...THATS was a huge mistake.."
"Which was?"
I asked.
Loving me? Or breaking up with-
"Breaking up with you."
She answered.
I frowned...I looked at her, I don't really understand her anymore..why is she like this?
"Can you be specific why?"
I crossed my arms.
"Okay..I was a huge jerk to you...I..i thought what we had was only temporary and I understand you now because you took our relationship into a next level while I just look at it as a...limited offer...a temporary thing.."
She looked down.
Words won't come out on my mouth so I just listened to her.
"And now...you have someone-"
"Yes a girlfriend.."
