The Daughter Of Princess Mononoke

The Mission

                 The night was quite, the full moon shone brightly on the small village at the edge of the Forbidden forest. As guards go about their portal as usual, while some villagers walk around the main square heading home from a long days work. A rustle could be heard near the back gate catching the attention of one of the guards. As he approaches cautiously torch in one hand and the other around his swords handle. Slowly he moves a branch out of the way, all to find a group of bats flying toward him. Startled he staggers backwards, relisting there is no danger he turns back to his original portal; not relisting the preying eyes watching him.

            The castle was busy as usual, but this was nothing new to the young prince. He was busy as well training with his friends or as the Emperor calls them his servants. " My prince, the Emperor wishes to speak to you three." A guard said and then turned on his heel and left.

           "Okay we'll be right there," the princes says in reply. Wired normally he just has a guard or one of the attendants tell me what he wants. 

         " What do you thinks going on?" Simon, his personal guard, asked snapping him out of this thought.

        "I don't know Simon." 

         "Must be important if he's calling to talk to you in person." Lucas chimes in. Both Simon, and Lucas grew up with the prince. They are both his best friends, except for Daisy. She's the commanding General's daughter, and has known them for a few years now.

        As the three boys make their way to the throne room the prince's mind wanders to why his father has called for him all of the sudden. What could you want of me father? What happened that you suddenly need to speak to me in person?  They stop in front of the grand doors Simon on the right, Lucas left, and Prince Zero in the middle. All of them had changed out of their training gear and into their proper garments. Simon in his guards uniform, Lucas in his personal uniform, and Zero in his royal clothes.

            When the Doors opened to ravel the Emperor, Commander Misk, and a formal dressed Daisy. Zero cursed to him self while staying composed on the outside. Please tell me he didn't summon me for me to marry her. The boys walk forward stopping a few feet in front of the Emperor bowing as the stop. "Father, Commander Misk, Lady Daisy you requested us." Zero says praying he's wrong about what's to happen.

        " Yes, I have just reserved yet another report of wolf attaches in the western villages." The Emperor states in an annoyed tone." The attacks have been more frequent and more villages have been reporting wolf attaches along the forbidden forest." Zero slightly shocked this is the reason his father called him, but also confused.

         " Father didn't we just send guards out to help protect the area?" 

         "Yes, but many have returned injured with others from the area seeking refuge far from the forest and it's beasts. We also been hearing story's, and rumors that the wolf princess Manonoka has been with the wolves, as well as a smaller more wolf like warrior." 

          With that said all three boys where left in shock. The room was filled with silence as the boys processed this new information. How is that even possible? There is no way there could be a second. And even if there is why are they now showing themselves? Unless.. " What can we do?" Zero spoke up with determination.
