Just as the sunset a figure watches from the forest as a group of people approaches the gate of a village. Four, five......seven, eight strangers. At first they looked harmless, but when the two sentries became defensive towards them, the figure hoped they'd leave. The man at the head of the group had a large build, and an angry look on his face that sent a shiver down the figure's spine.
A younger male quickly moved between his group and the sentries. What was most surprising was that after a moment a sentry lead them into the village. It wasn't often that outsiders were aloud in. Staying in the cover of the forest the figure followed them to the back of the village and had a clear view of the strangers.
After a bit the group went to bed, but the younger male stayed up. Carefully the figure crept forward to get a closer look. The male had dark hair that was tied up in a short ponytail. His skin was slightly darker than everyone else's, and his eyes where green. These features weren't something that was common to westerners.
The figure stared, not moving, at the young male not sure what to think about him. They knew that the older one wasn't to be trusted, but this one seemed almost familiar to them. When he let out a sigh, and turned to head away they didn't want him to leave.
"Wait," the young male turned back as if they heard the small noise, but just as quickly went off to bed. Not sure why they just did that the figure put on a their cloak and left.
-------------------------------------------------------
"WOLVES!!!" At that the group jolted awake; scrabbling to get up and armed. Screams could be heard all around, newly lit fires scatters the area as they raced to the center of town where all the commotion was coming from. Two giant white wolves the size of rhinos were running around like they knew exactly what they were doing. People were scrambling to put out fires, pull others out from under fallen posts, and some trying to fight the wolves off.
Out of nowhere a mask figure with a white fur cape jumped down from one of the roofs, and landed in the shadows. Crouching down they wait for their target. As a older man with battle scares over his face approached the ally the masked figure waited in the young prince caught on to what was going to happen. Running to help the older man a second masked figure jumped out in front of him, blocking his path. They pulled out a katana and slashed it at the prince, but the movement was aimed just to the side blocking a stray arrow from hitting him.
Before he could do anything else the figure disappeared. Looking back to see that the old man was being helped by the first figure. Shocked by what he just witnessed, Zero looked toward the wolves and noticed they to were only targeting certain people. It was like they knew something they did't. Just as sudden as it had began it ended, each of the wolves picked up a masked figure, and left.
The villagers began to clean up, and finish putting out fire right away like this was normal.
"Z you alright?" Simon called as Daisy and Lucas ran after him.
"Yeah I'm okay," not even he fully believed what he just said. Sure physically he was, but mentally he couldn't stop thinking about what he just saw.
"You sure? Look like you just saw a ghost." Daisy was right he even felt like he just saw one too.
"I'm not fully sure your wrong Daisy, but I think I know someone who might."
