"We should be arriving to the next village shortly,"the Commander informs the group. They have been traveling for almost two weeks now, only stopping to rest at night, or at a village for supplies. Commander Misk even caved in and aloud Daisy to come with.

"Good it's almost dusk,we'll need to pick the pace up a little if we want to make it there before sundown. We don't want to be out this close to the woods with the wolves." Zero was right from all the reports the wolves attack anyone out that's near the forest at night.

"Yes your Highness," all the guards replied in sync.

-------------------------------------------------

As the sun sank deeper in the sky you could see the smoke from a large fire coming from the village just ahead. The closer the group got the more you could see the bonfire in the center of the town, and all the mini fires along the outskirts, and boarder. Everyone had a confused look on their faces, at least till they all realized it was to keep the wolves away. Two sentries where stationed out side the main gate, and more in the lookout towers with crossbows.

The sentries in front both stepped forward blocking the path. Slowing down the group came to a stop in front of the men. "State your business please," one of them ask in a stern but kind tone, which surprised the young prince at first at his kindness for strangers.

"I am Commander Misk, my associates and I are on official business." The way he spoke was clear to everyone that the Commander did not like being questioned, and the sentries also didn't like the response they got. That was clear by the way they looked at each other and back at Misk.

"Sorry, Commander, but we're going to have to ask you to leave. You and your associates," the way they said his title was like it was poison to them. Both men raised their spears and pointed them toward the group. " We don't help from the royal guard, we're already short on food and supplies."

"You don't have the authority to send us away!" Misk at this point was not going to have it.

"We don't care," both the sentries and the archers in the towers had their weapons aimed at the small party. Quickly moving his horse between both groups to make sure they saw, and heard what he was bout to say.

"Wait!! Please forgive us we have traveled far to help. All we ask is that we may stay for just one night and then we'll be on our way." Speaking calmly with his head held high Zero hoped that they'll let then in.

The second guard spoke up pointing his weapon at the prince,  "And who might you be son?" By his voice you could tell he was slightly older than than his partner.

"I am Prince Zero, my father asked that I come with. Please we  mean no harm," the second he said his name the guards moved back a step in shock. The older guard sighed knowing that this was indeed the prince, and if he is like his father, he'll be true to his word.

"Very well, please come with me," he turned to leave , and the prince mentally signed in relief not realizing the look of anger on Misk's face.

"Thank you." As they entered the village they saw how bad the place was. Houses had their roofs half torn off, or had large holes straight through them. Debris was everywhere, and animals were being lead into a large makeshift pen. The village infirmary was fully intact, as well as the the dinning hall. This surprised the prince. If the wolves wanted to inflicted the most damage these would be places that would have the most damage, but no. There where huts in the same area as all the destruction that were perfectly fine. And many of the villagers didn't have injury's, and those who did are the village warriors.

The sentry that was leading them stopped in front of what was left of a stable and Inn.

" Sorry, but this is the only place that we have room," the older man said in a sadden tone.

         "There's no...."

"It's fine, after all it's one night." Before Misk could yell at the older man again; Zero stated the obvious. The older man gave a sympathetic look to the young prince that softened to the smallest smile.

"I should probably introduce myself. I am Tomagowa," and with that he headed back to his post.

                                                      ---------------------------------------------------------

The group was all asleep, all except Zero. He was standing a little ways away from the group, staring at the forest. Sighing quietly to himself he turned on his heel taking one last look at the forest that, and went to bed hoping that nothing bad would happen. As he laid down a strange urge came over him. After tossing, and turning for a while with an invisible string pulling at him to search of something; he fell into a deep sleep. Little did he know that sleep wasn't going to be very long.

Hey guys sorry it took so long to update. I don't have a good excuse except life, and stupid writers block. And all for 868 words sorry for such a short chapter.

With that said I'd like to give credit to my friend WILDCARD_668 for his amazing name Tomagowa. Fun fact every time I type it my laptop wants to correct it to Tomato.

Also I hope Y'll enjoy the story, and i'm going to try and get this next chapter out as soon as I can. But not tonight because it's 10:30 at night.
