In Zero's Dream

It was pitch black and i'm standing in the void. "Hello!! Someone!! Anyone!!" I screamed out for help for anyone. I felt like I was floating in the darkness. Suddenly my surroundings changed and I was in the middle of the woods. Large trees surround the area, and there is a lake with a small island in the center. It wasn't to far away, and I could see the whole this. The sun was lowering in the west and the sky was beginning to darken.

On the island a girl with pure white hair, and what looked like a moon crown on her head appeared. She was next to what at first looked like an elk, but at second glance I noticed he had a human like face. He began to walk forward, as he did small flowers and ferns grow and as his foot left the ground as quickly as they grow they withered and died. When he reached the water he stayed on top,as he walked all I could do was stare and watch. He stopped in the middle, and stared right back at me.

"Find the girl, protect her, and be careful of those who don't believe in you. As you protect her she'll protect you." The voice rang throw the air, this elk was speaking to me but it's mouth didn't move. I knew this was no ordinary elk, and not just because of his human face.

"Who is she? How do I fined her?" I called confused.

" You'll find out soon young prince," he responded back; voice still ringing in the air.

"Can you at least tell me who you are?" With that the sun set and the world began to disappear back into darkness, with it the girl and elk." WAIT WHO ARE YOU?!?!?!?"

"You'll find out soon enough Prince Zero." His voice faded as he said this and soon everything was pitch black again.

---------------------------------------------------------

Zero jolted up at the sounds of knocking at his door." Yes? Who's there?" he called while rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"Simon, just coming to see if you where up, and tell you that we'll be leaving at noon."Simon responded form outside the door.

"Okay thanks man," Zero said climbing out of bed stretching.

"No problem, oh and breakfast is ready in the dinning hall." With that Simon left for breakfast. Heading to his closet to change into his clothes for the day. It would be a long ride to Iron Town, and it was late spring so it would be warm too. All while getting ready all Zero could think about was his dream, the voice, the elk, the warning; the girl. He was hung up on her pure white hair. Part of it was pulled into a top-not , while the rest of it hung down slightly past her hips. Her crown was like a head band that rested neatly on her forehead, with a blue gem shaped as a crescent moon in the remaining space sat a white gem.

As he walked down to the dinning hall she was all he could think about. The elk's voice echoing to find her. What really stuck was that her unusual hair was the only detail he could remember about her. He was puzzled by this. As he ate he tried to remember anything else about the girl. Her eyes, her skin tone, her clothes, her height anything about her, but all he could think about was her white moon white hair.

Heading back to his room to get his thing for the journey, he couldn't help but notice small details about the castle he never noticed before. How long, and tall the halls were. The glisten of the golden dragons that rap around the pillars, or how few torches are used to light the halls so well at night. As he reaches his room he fiends a gourd slipping out. Quickly Zero hides behind a corner. He doesn't seem to notice the prince and hurries away in the other direction.

What was he doing in my room? When he was sure it was safe, he carefully went into his room examining everything to see if something was out of place, or had moved. looking throw his things for the journey, and double checking his bags for holes. Then he changed his water out to make sure it was safe to drink. After his mom's death Zero became more aware that not everyone liked the royal family. Simon taught him what to look for if he ever felt someone was after him, or wanted him dead.

Letting out a sign of relief he took one last look around. Grabbing his things to leave he stopped and saw a wilting flower under his bag. Curious he picked it up, and examined the flower. It was a rose bud that had a smooth layer of what seemed to be amber, or glass. Not sure were it came from the curious prince put the rose bud onto his satchel, and headed out to the main courtyard ready to start his adventure.
