My life has had the usual ups and downs, but this is different. My little brother Jace and I are far away from home, another dimension in fact. It is crazy to think that just a few days ago I was a normal teenager excited for Summer Break to hit. Now everything's made a 360. My father died a few years ago, and my mother is barely home. I have 3 step sisters, 2 biological sisters, and a half-brother (Jace is 3, btw).

"Sissy, where are we?" I look around, clutching Jace tightly in my arms, protecting him from our unknown surroundings.

"I..I don't know Jace. It looks like Antarctica, but that doesn't make sense. I thought we were on our way to California; Which is extremely far from Antarctica." The sound of snow crunching puts me into panic mode.

I turn around and see a boy about my age (15) with blue eyes, brown hair slipped back into a pony tale, warrior clothes, and a spear pointing directly at me. "Who are you, and why are you here?" He says shaking lightly.

This is not Antarctica, so where are we really? "I said who are you and why are you here?" He repeats with a more confident sounding voice.

"I..I'm Savanna, and this is my little brother Jace. I...I honestly don't know how we got here in the first place. We were on a plane to California to visit our Aunt for a few weeks, but we obviously got blown off course." I tell him looking directly into his eyes, so he knows that every part of what I told him is true.

"Plane? California? I've never heard of such a place or thing." He says confused. He glances at Jace shaking in my arms, and let's down his spear. "Follow me to my tribe." He starts walking away, but I stop him confused. Who doesn't know what a plane is. Where are we?

"And what tribe is that?" I ask looking around, confused as to why anyone would live here in the freezing temperature.

"The Southern Water Tribe." The entire journey to the tribe, I couldn't stop thinking about the weird events that have happened the past 6 hours. The Southern Water Tribe sounds familiar though, I just don't know where I've heard it before.

"Sokka, there you are. Gran-Gran's been looking everywhere for-" The girl stops talking and looks at Jace and I behind Sokka. "Sokka, who are they?" She asks, looking alarmed.

"Katara, it's okay. This is Savanna, and her little brother Jace. They are far away from where they're supposed to be, so I figured that they could stay here for a while." Sokka says and she gives us a soft smile.

"Okay, here I'll help you get some new clothes. The sundress that you're wearing now is only going to get colder. Jace can go with Sokka and get a new pair of clothes too." I look down at Jace and then glance towards Sokka and Katara.

"I...I don't know. He's all I have left." I tell them and something brings sorrow to Sokka's eyes.

"I understand. My dad left for the war, and all I have left is my sister and our Gran-Gran. But, it'll only be for a few minutes. I promise." Sokka reassures and I nod, "Okay. Jace goes with Sokka to get some new clothes." Jace smiles and hugs me tightly, "Okay, sissy. Be right back." He runs off with Sokka, and Katara chuckles softly.

"Follow me." She leads me into an igloo with a wide living room, bathroom, and two small rooms. "Here is where Jace and you will be staying." She brings me to a closet and motions towards it. "Here are some clothes. These boots are personally my favorite, and you'll never have cold feet as long as you wear them." I nod, and grab the clothes and change in the bathroom.

When I come out I see Jace in an outfit similar to Sokka's. My little brother is dressed as a warrior. "Thanks Sokka. He looks so adorable." Sokka smiles, and Jace runs and hugs me. "Sissy, you look so pretty!!" We all smile and laugh.

"Well, it's getting late, and we'll have to go fishing tomorrow. Savanna do you want to come with us?" They've given us a place to stay, clothes, and food to eat. It is something I can do to show my gratitude.

"Of course." Katara and Sokka leave, and I get Jace put to bed. As I lay in bed staring at the ceiling, everything came back to me. Just one question is on my mind....how did we end up in Avatar the Last Airbender!?
