She stood folding her arms, her eyes wandered as rows of green, emerald trees surrounded her. A different romantic scent was scattered through the area, as she suddenly felt a pair of masculine arms snaking around her waist. She shivered as she felt his touch against her skin.
A plethora of emotions flowed down her veins, as he whispered into her ears, "Beautiful! Just beautiful, Mrs. Nandini Manik Malhotra." butterflies erupted in her stomach as she felt his breath at her nape. His grip around her belly tightened and her breath hitched.
He made her face him, Her eyes hypnotised him, dreamily he cupped her face in his palms and then settled a soft kiss on her forehead as small birds flew overhead celebrating their pure and unblemished love. The orange colour which embroidered the sky, made them look like silhouettes to people looking from afar.
Her cheeks adorned a shade of crimson , while he adored her from top to bottom. Those silver yet plain jhumkas, the white chiffon saree which revealed her stomach and belly button, her wavy brown hair which she had let open. She looked like a Goddess, her plain white, delicate skin glowing even more. She was intoxicated under the spell of love. Though she was standing in the bosom of nature, but her gaze remained enthralled towards him, the love of her life, Manik Malhotra.
He grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards him, she bumped into his chest. Her back faced him, he closed his eyes and tightened his grip around her, feeling her. He caressed her cheeks, and kissed her cheeks making her blush indefinitely. Holding her palms into his he pecked her knuckles, she could feel goosebumps all over her body. His touch had such an effect on her, it use to get her into a world of desires, wanting more of him, wanting to feel every ounce of her man. Nandini never knew she would be craving romantically for a man, she would be in the arms of a man, wishing that he would kiss her. Indeed love changes everything drastically.
When she looked into his eyes, she saw immense love flowing from there. It gave her hopes that she just needed his hands in her and she could surpass any hard circumstance that life would provide them with, that his love was enough to keep her alive even if the world was ending, even if everything was against them.
Nandini felt a tickling sensation as Manik's hands brushed against her back. Slowly he undid the string of her saaree, his fingers dribbling down her milky back. He planted a soft kiss on her back, while she had her eyes shut all this while.
She opened her eyes to find the ceiling, everything had dwindled away in just a second?. SHE had been dreaming? She had been dreaming a complete romantic scene with him? Was she craving for him?
She got up with a jerk and found the other side of the bed, cold and empty. It was better that he was not there, it would have increased her awkwardness twofolds.
For Nandini Murthy her love story had to be like that of her parents, the one where love and understanding was there, the one where respect was there. She had always thought of love to be that cool breeze that kissed your face amidst the scorching heat, it was the first ray of the sun in the morning after a dark scary night. It was like a rose in a desert, it was serene like the cotton balls that floated in the clear sky.
If was that magical wand, which could dwindle away all your pain into fine ashes and gift you with all the peace that you need.
But what had she got? A man who kept himself caged in the clutches of darkness, a man who wore nothing except black and grey? A man who would never love her back? A man for whom relationships are business deals?
She was not a deal, she was a human being, and she had done the mistake of falling in love with the ultimate devil. The one who would not care a damn about her heart which had begun to flutter for him.
Standing under the shower, she let the cold water fall over her, soothing every part of her body, she rubbed her skin at places where he had touched her, her cheeks, her neck, her hands. Flashback of those kisses ran in her mind. Her heart wanted more of it,while her brain spoke against it.
All of it happened in her dream, but she wanted to wash him away from her heart and her soul not knowing that she was already caged into his world now.
"You may try to wash away his touches from you body, but how will you wash him away from your heart Nandini?" Her subconscious spoke again.
She plugged her fingers into her ears, so as to prevent listening to her subconscious but it continued.
"You may do anything Nandini i, but you cant run away from the truth. You are a coward to not accept it." It taunted.
"Shut up! Just shut up I said. I am no coward. Yes I admit. I am in love with Manik." She shouted while her voice echoed in the washroom. She looked around , then stood numb, as tears brimmed down her eyes.
She stood still shock dwelling in her veins, the only sound that accompanied her now was that of the cool water flowing from the shower.
