The Mystery Girl

The Party [ Part IV ]

The hallway is pretty quiet after the light goes off. People seems to like gather around each other at the main hall with the others. The noise seems to get louder and louder. It's like someone is banging some metal plates very hard which is very strange, because our high school doesn't have any furniture that made out of solid metal and could be bang this hard. Something is not right. The more I walk, the more I hear the noise from the cafeteria. I try my best not to trip or hit anything on the way there. Just as I arrived at the cafeteria door, there are some weird smell coming from there and Louis's phone suddenly turn off. Now I am in the complete darkness, alone and with an unpleasant smell. I try to follow the smell in the dark and it brings me to a certain area that sounds like I am walking on a puddle of some fluid. I think the smell came from that because I haven't touched anything unusual yet and the smell keep bringing me there.

*????*Who's there?!*

A familiar voice yelled to me from the door. I slowly walk to that person because that person have a flashlight. Turns out, it was Carlos and Mary.

*Mary* Thaddeus?! What are you doing here? *

*Carlos* And in the dark? *

Mary is wearing a brown dress over the thin fake fur that she put on her self to look like a werewolf. She didn't have any major makeup art going on except some scar-looking makeup on her face and some red cat eyes contact lenses. She does have a pair of fake ears and with a half-updo hairstyle with 2 small little braided hair. While Carlos on the other hand, took this whole Halloween event with a new style. He got his hair dyed in the most beautiful silver white natural-looking hair, but he's not crazy with the outfit. It's just a black hoodie and white shorts and pair of black shoes. If I'm remember correctly, he said he wanted to be a werewolf too. But why isn't he one right now? Perhaps he didn't have enough time to get dress in costume and just went casual. 

*Thaddeus* I heard some weird noises from the cafeteria and wanted to get rid of it. It's scaring everyone at the hall.*

*Carlos* Did you find anything yet? *

*Thaddeus* I think I stepped on something that is a- *

Suddenly, there is a loud bang on one of the table from the cafeteria. That is when the two of them are aware of my situation. Carlos told Mary to go meet the others while he will help investigate with me. Carlos step inside the place and point his phone to the source of that bang. It was a broken brick, laying on the thick metal plate. The plate looks like it was attach to the seats. Strange, like I said, there is no way this metal table is here before! Below the table is a puddle of red looking-fluid, like blood. The two of us knew that we did not put fake blood on the floor and in the cafeteria while we were decorating the school for the party. It could be a prank or someone took it to the extreme with the decoration. But whatever that is, it smells really bad. Carlos bravely sample that fluid on his finger and shine the light to it. That is when all of us froze.

Aaaaahhh!!!!

That scream made the both of us jump back to our senses. It seems like it came from the main girl bathroom. Carlos and I did not say a word and quickly leave the place to investigate the scream. When we leave the cafeteria and walk ahead, we bump into someone.

*Thaddeus* Oh, hi Liza. Are you lost? If you're looking for other people, just walk a few more and you'll be there.*

Liza is one of our classmates throughout these junior high school years. She is a brave female athlete for the school and has a very energetic personality that won't make people feel tired easy. Liza is normally seen with her best friend, Zoe or her boyfriend, Eric. It's a bit unusual for her to wander alone in the dark like this.
