2:10 A.M. Keystone, Northern CanadaDuncan's POV
I was in Gwen's resort room on my phone sitting in the chair. I wanted to apologize for the fight and just get everything out with her, but instead she was doing wedding planning with the girls. Courtney was back at our room asleep, and everyone else was sitting round Gwen's room doing work. Gwen herself had gone her to room over an hour ago, and well I'm still here."You should go into her room and talk to her." Geoff said and I looked at him.
"You want what happened the last time to happen again?" I asked and everyone looked over.
"Talk, don't fight." Bridgette stated and I glanced at her and then everyone else.
"That's why you're still here right...to apologize?" Heather asked and I sighed.
"No one can talk to her the way you used to. She may act like she hates you, but she really just misses you." Brandon said and I looked at him.
I got up and then walked into the kitchen. I looked in the fridge and didn't see any food the two of used to just eat together, when we were kids. I looked in her freezer and saw a pint of ice cream and grabbed two spoons. I walked towards Gwen's room and slowly opened the door to see Gwen sitting there with glasses on looking at a bunch of binders and a computer. She glanced at me.
"What, come to fight again?" She asked and I shook my head.
"No...I am here to talk. I brought a peace offering." I said shaking the pint of ice cream.
She looked at me and then rolled her eyes and moved over. I was honestly surprised she was actually letting me stay. I walked over to her and she took the ice cream out of hands and then I handed her a spoon and sat down next to her.
"What's with the binders...more wedding stuff?" I asked and Gwen looked at me.
"No...work stuff." She said and closed the binder.
She moved it away from me and then closed her computer. I sighed, as Gwen opened the pint of ice cream and started eating and I just sat there silent. She glanced at me and then just didn't say anything. I didn't know what I wanted to do first, talk about our fight, talk about her health, or just...catch up with her. Before I could say anything, I heard Gwen sigh.
"What?" I asked.
"The news about my cancer is number one trending on Twitter, and Geoff's movie is number two." Gwen said, as if she were annoyed.
"Well...no one was expecting to hear you have breast cancer." I said and Gwen gave me a look. "I'm being serious." I added and she shook her head.
"Whatever...how have you been?" She asked throwing her phone towards end of the bed, and I looked at her. "Yes, I just asked how you've been, don't make a big deal out of it." She added.
"Good...I own and manage the um...tattoo parlor, along with the car garage I worked at in high school." I said and Gwen looked at me.
"You're also getting married in May, but I wouldn't know that." She said looking at me up and down.
"Can I explain myself, before you start assuming things?" I asked.
Gwen gave me a look and then crossed her arms.
"I didn't send you an invitation, because well...Courtney didn't want me to you one. You can't blame her, because well every time someone would mention your name...my day instantly got ruined. I made a special invitation for you, I've just been trying to grow the balls to give it to you." I said and Gwen looked at me.
