It's been five days since he saw [Y/N], but he couldn't get her out of his mind. He decided to do a background check on her.
'Why can't I find anything?' Enokida thought to himself disappointed, and even more curious. Him, a professional hacker and informat, yet he couldn't find any information on this person... 'guess I'll have to leave it to chance'. Enokida was work free at the moment and had heard about a new store front called [Store name = S/N]. He decided to check it out.
Upon entering the store Enokida was amazed. It was a small, neat and tiny store with a single register at the back. The walls were shelved and a single isle sat next to each, stocked. Then in-between the isles was an island table with other gadgets. Enokida looked around still in awe. Not only were the products good, but the security of the place was great. Whoever ran this store knew what they were doing because selling technology is a risky business. It was if the store had its own firewall. He also noticed that all the items in the store had the same logo, one that he's never seen before. He picked out test items like a keyboard with new shortcuts and an upgraded ram stick.
He proceeded to the register where his eyes widened. There sat the girl he's been looking for, looking exhausted. He tried to hide his shock as he reached the register. He smiled. "So we meet again, Miss. [Y/N]". [Y/N] looked up and her eyes brightened a little "So we do" she said with a smile. "I'm guessing you run this place?" "Yes, alone in fact" then she brings her voice to a whisper "I'd hire people but you never know who you can trust, and I've yet to meet someone qualified". Enokida saw this as an opportunity. Though he was curious about the girl, business still came first and if anyone needed information on her, he'd be the only one to know. Enokida smiled "How about you try me out? I dabble in technology" [Y/N] looked surprised but then smiled as well. "Sure let's talk after closing hours, come back around 5:15pm, okay?" "Sure, see you then"
~ Time Skip: After Hours
[Y/N] was smart, she knew she couldn't trust someone who she just met 5 days ago, but that didn't stop the excitement from running through her veins. "Yo" said Enokida walking in. [Y/N] was setting up a bar stool behind the register. "Here come sit". As much as [Y/N] wanted to trust Enokida, she was cautious beyond belief. "Alright, so makes you believe that you are capable of working here?" [Y/N] asks making Enokida smile. "Take a look at this" He said while pulling out a spider from the inside of his pocket. "Looking around the store, I'm probably far from your level of engineering, but I can almost guarantee that I can best you in programming" He said as his smile turned into a smirk. [Y/N] loved a challenge "Is that so?" She said as she pulled out a robotic butterfly from under the table.
They looked at each other playfully. As if reading each others minds, they exchange contraptions, analyzing them to the very last detail. [Y/N] was the first to speak "This is really cool! What kind of microphone did you use? Is the audio projected straight to a computer or is it stored as audio files within the spider? Or maybe it's download by intervals straight into the computer the computer...." [Y/N] babbled her fatigue washing away. She was so excited to see someone who shared a similar hobby. Enokida chuckled "Oh sorry, I got ahead of myself, hehe... I guess I got really excited" [Y/N] said with a faint blush across her cheeks. "Don't sweat it, I was just about to do the same thing to you. The eyes in the sky, huh? Interesting concept. What kind of material did you use? I guess you had to make the camera yourself too..."
He began to trail on, then [Y/N] laughed causing Enokida to stop in his tracks. rubbed the back of his head "See what I mean? Hey, would you mind if I keep this butterfly? You can have the spider if you want. I'd like to study the mechanics" "Sure! I was thinking the same thing anyways, I guess this kinda finalizes my decision, when can you start working? Ah, but first let's discuss pay" "How about instead of money, I can take parts instead?" "Hmm, depends on what it is, but sure! Sounds like a deal". With there deal finalized, [Y/N] begins to type out the contract, reading it off to Enokida as she goes.
"Okay, I'll print a copy for you and a copy for me, then we'll sign both of them, okay?" [Y/N] said turning towards Enokida "Sounds good"
[Y/N] was sad that there time together was drawing to a close, but then an idea struck her. "Hey, do you want to go out to eat in commemoration of today?" [Y/N] asked as bold as possible, trying not to seem shy or hesitant. Enokida paused for a second before responding. "Sure, but this time, I'll pay" He said with a smile. "Yay! Do you have anywhere in mind?" "Hmm, I don't mean to sound informal, but, do you like games?"
~ Time Skip: To Gaming Cafe ~
"Woah! This looks fun!" [Y/N] said it was a gaming cafe different then ones she's been to before. There were different types of sitting cubes, but all had the same format: computers on the wall of the cube and a table that you could turn around to in the center. Of course, the two of them sat in a two sitter cube, backs facing each other, faces towards the computers. "What do you want to play before our food gets here?" He asked [Y/N] who already had a game in mind "Do you like chess?". [Y/N] specifically chose this game because how one plays can show a lot about a person. How willing are you to give in a player? What do you value? How do you defend? All things you could learn from a single game. "Okay, let's do it, but don't get too upset when you lose" he said, teasingly to [Y/N]. "Oh, you're on!"
