Cole

Julia yanked my wrist. I did not see this coming. My feet tumbled as it tried to gain balance again.

"This is Cole." She said annoyed.

This reaction came to me as a shock. I smiled weakly.

"Can we go now?" Julia complained.

Mr. Connor looked at his daughter. "You can. But I want to have a talk with Cole."

"What!" She gasped.

He nodded. "I've never seen him before. I know he's not part of our pack. The only other boys you hang around with us Jax and Bradley. So something is up." He scrunched his eyebrows together at me.

I gulped. Honestly I was a little nervous, talking to the former alpha. It doesn't help much when I have a feeling I know what it might be about. And it doesn't help when Julia and Mr. Connor ha an intense conversation.

I looked at Julia. "It's fine. You go and do other things. Ill catch up with you later." I waved her off casually.

I didn't want her two worry about me. I am sure age had other things to be worried about.

She nodded and left.

Mr. Connor placed his hands on the kitchen counter. He smirked. Take a seat.

I sat on a bar stool.

Mr. Connor allowed his chin to rest on his hand, that was proper up by his elbow. "So tell me about yourself."

I was surprised by his approach.

"Okay." I said wearily. "Well Im Cole Reed and I am the alpha of the Mountain Too Pack."

I tapped the counter with my fingers.

"So what are you doing here then?" He asked leaning into me.

"Well I came here because my pack agreed that we want to be allies with your pack."

"And." Mr. Connor cut me off.

"And what sir." I forced the word of sir, to spill out. "I haven't used that word in years, it seems like.

In fact. I can't recall the last time I said that to a man.

"Are you allies with this pack?"

"Oh. Yes, sorry sir. I should have known."

"Yes you should have." He nodded.

Great trying make me feel worse then I am already.

"So why are you still here?" He asked.

I smiled. "At first. I was starting to ask this question, but now I know the answer."

"And that is?" He raised an eyebrow.

My lips widen even more. "Julia and I are mates."

Now his eyes widen even more. "You are." He showed no emotion. In not sure if he's happy about this or he is disappointed.

"And your together?"

"Well no sir, not yet."

Mr. Connor nodded. Then smiled.

"You will take of her, right, like me."

I smiled. "Of course." Then another feeling creeped across of me.

I slammed my fists down on the counter. I stood up and the chair flung back. "Like you have!" I screamed. "You heard her. She told you in your face. You disrespected her, betrayed her. She doesn't love you like a normal relationship. Every time Julia talks about you she has this bitter look and a hiccup. She's sad but angry too."

Shadow growled, and I did too.

Mr. Connor looked at me with hatred and disgust. "That was before all of that." He shouted.

"And your point is?" I asked not giving a care in the world of my attitude. "You know what that doesn't matter. Someday I will mark her, we will mate and carry on with our lives, and their is nothing you can do about it." I growled, with shadow right by my side. "And if you hurt Julia in anyway, you will be sorry, and Julia won't be sorry at you. Just be lucky I wasn't their when this all happen."

I didn't let him have any response back, I was to angry. "You know what I think about you?" I lifted my hand and stretched out the finger. I turned my back on him and grinned.

I feel better now calm me down, go find Julia.

*********

Like I said I would not update this past monday and and past Tuesday. But I did not know that we would leave Sunday morning, due to weather conditions.

So sorry everyone for the late update. I hoped to get this chapter updated Sunday, but that didn't happen. Oh well. :(

Good news is that today, Wednesday I have no school. That's right the whole district canceled school. Yay! That means I have all day to be on, but most likely I won't be on all day.

But who knows?

Possibly Thursday may be a late start for us too. Many things could happen.
