Chapter 14

Bradley

"We're here."

"Yep." Jaxon said nervously. I think I heard him gulp.

"Dude. Why are you nervous." I elbowed him in the ribs.

I didn't realize I was nervous until I said it aloud. Then I also reassured me.

"Hey!" a man shouted.

"We've been spotted. I turned to Jax. "Show time." I whispered. He nodded.

Wow I never seen Jaxon be so nervous before. I guess theirs a first for everything.

"Hey." I replied casually like Cole did.

The man had a spear in his hand. A spear I thought. Wo they are old school.

"Who are you?" He demanded.

This man reminded like me when I was in his position. This man looked to be in his elderly forties. He had a few streaks of grey hair. I do can take this guy.

Jaxon stepped out behind me. He must have gotten the courage to come out of hiding.

"Who's this."

"Im Bradley Cane, beta of the Crescent Moon Pack. And this is Jaxon the third of the Crescent Moon Pack." I gestured to Jax who seemed better, but still a little uncomfortable.

The man dropped his weapon. I then saw everyone else lower their weapons.

"What is going on?" I cautiously asked.

"Did you say Beta and the Third of the Crescent Moon pack."

"Uh yes."

"Great." He smiled. "So your here for the ally agreement yes?"

"Uh yes."

"Good. Then where's my son and your Alpha."

"Wait so this man is father of Cole."

I looked to Jaxon who seemed to get more confidence in him. I mind linked him that take note of this dude.

"Well he's back arranging stuff with our alpha. Our alpha sent us here to give you the message."

"Oh okay." He reached out his hand. I hesitated a moment to shake his. Reluctantly I did.

"Settled then. Have your entire pack come over here so we won't kill them."

"Huh?"

"Oh you know face recognition. Don't your pack have that?"

My face was blank of emotion.

He chuckled. "In assuming thats a no. The name's Keith."

I open my mouth to say my name. But then be cut me off.

"Yeah I know your name."

"Right. " I smiled. "Um. So. Can we see around?"

Keith widen his smile. "Why not. It won't be fair for my allies to be permitted to see around."

He lifted up his right arm am batted it down over his head.

I followed him and so did Jax.

"Well this here obviously the boundaries where the guards stand."

"Oh so you mean patrol."

He stopped.

I was unprepared. I almost ran into him. I had to do a hop in place.

He twisted his head around. "No. I don't know what that means. But if that relates anything to shifts."

"Kinda."

"Okay then. Can I continue?" He asked getting a little annoyed.

"Oh yea sure. Uh sorry."

"Good."

He continued walking. This here is the top house?"

"Huh?"

"The alpha, beta, and the third, and their parents all live here? Oh and the Luna, but Cole." He paused and shook his head. "He hasn't found her yet. I'm afraid he never will."

"Um. Can we sit?"

"Sure." We say down on the sofa.

"I'm sure we will find her. We all do."

"Have you found yours?"

I rubbed my hands together and shoved them in between my pants. "No. Not yet."

"I lowered my head."

Did Jaxon ever find his mate?" He tilted his head towards him.

"No." Jax spoke up.

"Um can we talk about your son?"

"Sure. Well he's super smart, stubborn determined, brave, protective, courageous, jokes around, but does take thing seriously, and he does have a bit of a dark side."

"Oh did I here he is a bit mischievous." Jaxon said sliding over.

"Yea." Keith nodded his head.

I was thinking about this. Keith gave us the exact information that we needed. It's like he read my mind.

I was also thinking about how Cole sounds fine. He would match Julia greatly.

Maybe I owe an apology to her.

"Do I need to show you the rest?"

"No sir. But I do have a question."

"Okay?"

"Where does everyone else live?"

"Huh? Oh. That. They live in their homes with their family. They are all scattered around our land. That way if we have a rouge attack they won't see them all and, our pack has a better chance to escape and fight."

"Wow. That's cleaver."

"Well my son had to get the gene of being smart form someone."

"At that moment all of us started cracking up laughing."

"Hey. You guys sound like great. Bring over your alpha soon. I would like to meet him."

I grinned ya Keith then Jax.

"Yes. I am sure you to will see each other a lot. And our alpha may surprise you."

I am so happy that we have exceeded 300 viewers. You guys make me so proud and happy. Now you can rest. Honestly. I couldn't ask for anything more.
