After my brief encounter with the mysterious Slytherin boy I rushed down the corridor to where Hermione was sitting. The train was huge, so it took me awhile to find my new companions. I breathed a sigh of relief as I entered our train compartment. Hermione had her nose in a potions book while Ron and Harry were feasting on treats. They all gave me warm smiles as I sat down. "So, why did you transfer to Hogwarts?" Asked Ron, munching on a chocolate frog.

"My dad got a new job, so it worked out better for the family." I explained.

"What house do you think you'll be placed in?" Pipped up Harry.

"I'm not sure, but my dad doesn't like Slytherin." I brought my voice down to a whisper. Harry and Ron laughed, which made me blush slightly.

"I don't think anyone does!" Roared Ron which earned him a smack in the head with the back of Hermione's Potions book and I look of approval from Harry.

"Oh dear, Harmony, ignore them. Each house is special in their own way. Just because Slytherin has wronged us doesn't-"

"Hermione's got a soft spot for Slytherins!" Teased Harry interrupting her, which earned him a hit with the potions book as well. I couldn't help but smile at the newfound friends I had made. The rest of the ride was pleasant and filled with many laughs and treats. It wasn't until the train honked his horn that we began to settle down. I could feel my nerves building up as I looked out the window. Hogwarts was a huge castle that was beautifully made. It looked mesmerizing from my view, and I couldn't wait to explore it inside. Harry and Ron had made their way out of our compartment to go change into their school robes. Hermione and I had decided to wait until they came back to go and change ours. This was the perfect time to ask her about the boy I had ran into earlier this morning. "This morning I ran into a student, and he was awfully rude. Do you have any ideas on who it could be?" I asked her.

"Well, many people here are rude. I'm going to need a better description." She laughed.

"He had bleached blond hair." As soon as those words left my lips Hermione froze. Her eyes widened and she grimaced. This couldn't be good. Did I bump into and arch-nemesis or perhaps an ex boyfriend. I hoped I hadn't upset her.

"Sounds like Draco Malfoy. I would stay away from him. He's nothing but bad news." Her tone hardened, like I struck a bad nerve with her.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know." I tried to tell her.

"Don't apologize. You didn't know. I'm just warning you. He has and has caused many problems." She replied coldly. I nodded and decided to stop talking about him. Obviously he was a sensitive topic, and even though I wanted to find out more it was better not to question Hermione. I had barely just met her but I knew that she was not to be questioned easily, and I wanted to keep the only friends I had. It was perfect timing that Harry and Ron returned in their robes. The Gryffindor crest shone nicely on the black robes, and I wondered what colour I would be sporting on mine. Hermione pulled my arm out of the compartment and led me down a bustling corridor towards the bathrooms. I felt many pairs of eyes look at me as I walked down the hall, causing the butterflies in my stomach to intensify. We turned the corner into the bathroom, and I was met face to face with a blond girl. At first I thought I had run into the infamous Draco Malfoy again, but what would he be doing in the women's washroom? "Hello! I'm Luna Lovegood. Do you need a robe?" She smiled. She had crazy glasses on and a stack full of Quibbler magazines in her hands along with a few extra robes.

"I'm Harmony Victor. I would shake your hand put it looks like your occupied. An extra robe would be great though!" I gave her a nice wave and held out my hand as she gave me a robe.

"I'll see you at the feast Harmony! It was nice to meet you!" She shouted excitedly as she exited the bathroom pestering other students about magazines of the way out. I smiled at Hermione and entered the stall to get changed. The robe was a little too big but it was the best I could do at the moment. I smoothed down my hair before exiting. Hermione was already out and I hoped I hadn't taken too long. "Lets get off, the door is just outside the washroom." She stated as we walked out. It was nearly dark outside, with a few tall street lamps illuminating the cobblestone ground. I carefully stepped down the stairs and planted my feet on solid ground. I looked around and saw all the students talking and fetching their suitcases from a huge bearded man. I shrunk back in fear and shot a worried look at Hermione only to see that she was giggling. "What's so funny." I trembled shoving my hands into my pockets.

"That's just Hagrid! He won't hurt you. He's our grounds keeper and Dumbledore's assistant." She smiled as she ran up to the giant. Reluctantly I followed her, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't just a little scared. Hermione gave him a big hug and he turned to look at me. I gave him a weak smile. "Who do we have here? I'm Hagrid. Welcome to Hogwarts." He held out a big hand. I shook it and marvelled at how small it made mine look.

"Harmony Victor. It's nice to meet you." I mumbled out, attempting to stand tall. He handed me my luggage and I walked with Hermione to join Harry and Ron at the large gate which led to a stone pathway. This pathway must have led to the school because there were carriages departing toward the huge castle every minute. I admired my surroundings but my eyes rested on a group of students wearing green ties. Slytherins. They stood straight and looked extremely intimidating even from afar. The blond boy was there talking to a Slytherin girl with short dark hair. She seamed to be laughing at something he had said before her eyes noticed mine. I spun my head around as fast as I could trying to avoid her stone cold glare. I could feel her gaze burning into me, but refused to turn around. This was definitely not how I wanted to make my first impressions. "Pssht. Harmony, we're going to the carriage." Ron whispered.

"Sorry." I mumbled before walking over to the large carriage.

"Buckle up we have interesting partners." Said Harry pointing towards the girl with dark hair, Draco, and the rest of their gang. My stomach lurched forward and my face whitened. This was going to be interesting.
