Many are the magical Houses of Africa and many still are their domains. Some devote themselves merely to the worship of the various pantheons. Others are caretakers of the many, many aspects of magic. But for all their diversity, the Houses share one thing in common. An unwavering belief in their own importance. And that, perhaps, is their greatest weakness. For people so proud are all too often quick to anger overall perceived slights.
Imagined or otherwise.
But the magical Houses of Nigeria have never been like that. Unlike our mortal counterparts, we are truly united. For we were not brought together by the machinations of the colonial machine. Ours is a relationship that has lasted millennia, well before the white man first turned his attentions to the Dark Continent. And though we have been shaken and forced to secrecy by the efforts of the colonial powers, we endure and some would say thrive. Perhaps that has been our greatest strength as a people as well.
