Meeting him

Your best friend had asked you if you would like to practice some volleyball with him and kageyama. You kindly agreed meeting up after volleyball practice at school. You arrived at the desired location seeing hinata and kage already practicing without you. "Wow guys, couldn't even wait for me?" You said jokingly putting your bag down on the ground. "Sorry y/n" both said in unison. "Don't worry i was just joking now lets get to practicing!" You said joyfully. You and kageyama were helping hinata get better at his receives for a few minutes before he hit the ball over the both of you before you could catch it.

As you ran over to get the ball you couldn't find it. You sighed before bumping into somebody. You looked up to see a blonde tall guy with glasses and another one quite shorter with green hair and freckles. You saw the blonde one holding the ball as you smiled lightly. "Thanks for catching the ball." You said before going over to reach it. He lifted his hand up high causing you to jump up to get it but couldn't. "Hey can I have it back please?!" You asked still struggling to grab the ball as hinata and kageyama came to help "Aww shortie can't reach the ball" the blonde said teasing you. You groaned in annoyance as you heard kageyama began to speak up.

"Leave her alone and give us back the ball!" Kageyama yelled out trying to reach for it since he was taller than the both of you. "Oh look its the king of court" the blonde said once again. "Who the hell even are you?" Hinata asked. "I'm Kei Tsukishima and this is Yamaguchi. Also im 6'3 if you're wondering" after hearing how tall he was hinata and Kageyama looked shocked as he began talking about joining the volleyball team. "W-Well Kageyama, y/n and i will be joining as well!" Hinata said confidently. "You two shorties are joining the club, how funny. "I wonder how you're going to join. They don't have a girls volleyball team anymore..." the boy with the freckles spoke softly.

"I know that but they said they would let me join now give us back the ball you bean pole!" You said getting fed up with him. As he threw the ball at hinata as hinata caught it before you three watched him and his friend walk away while you heard him mumbling words "see ya shorty" tsukishima mumbled as you clenched your fists "i heard that saltyshima!" You shouted out before turning back around facing Kageyama and Hinata then continued to practice. "What an ass" you said to the two before Kageyama threw the ball up in the air for you to practice your receives.

You guys continued practicing for about an hour before realizing it was getting late. You and Hinata waved Kageyama goodbye before he started walking off as you two grabbed your gym bags beginning to make your way home as you grabbed your water bottle and began to take a sip. "How do you feel about being in the volleyball team?" Hinata asked you. "I don't know, i just feel a bit nervous since im the only girl what about you?.." you said in a sort of saddened voice. "I'm a bit nervous too if im being honest, what if im not good like the rest of them you know i suck at volleyball.."

"Hinata, you don't suck. You just need some more practice okay. Don't worry about anything" you told him with a smile. "Thanks y/n. I don't know what i would do without you.." "no need to thank me, thats what best friends are for" you replied. He put his arm around your shoulder hugging you softly as he leaned his head on your shoulder while you both continued walking home. Once you made it home you waved goodbye to your best friend before unlocking your door and walking inside. You set your bag down before walking into the kitchen seeing your mom preparing your lunch for tomorrow.

You gave her a quick hug along with a kiss on the cheek before heading upstairs to your room. You closed the door before sighing softly as you began to take off your uniform and shoes setting them of to the side before walking to the bathroom to take a nice and warm shower. After you took a shower you got dressed and dried yourself off before brushing your hair. You walked out of the bathroom and walked over to your bed getting ready to sleep for the night..
