Authors note:

Hey, guys, I am so sorry I have not been updating the story for a while. I had no motivation or inspiration to write. And tbh, I felt like I didn't enjoy writing for a little. But I am back and I feel refreshed. But I am looking forward to writing again and picking up where I left off.

I hope no one is angry with me.

Anyway, here is a new update for you all.

Enjoy, ☺️!!

Tyler and Quinton walk a few meters away to the bustling evening streets. It's a Saturday evening, so the small town is normally bustling with people partying and drinking on weekends. "So, where do you want to go?" says the narrator. Tyler inquires as he walks with Quinton through the bustling city streets. Quinton only shrugs and remains silent, his gaze falling to the ground.

Tyler speaks out again after a few minutes of stillness. "Let's get some Tim Hortons hot chocolate and a strawberry dip doughnut. It's your personal favourite." He waggles his brows and flashes a broad, excited grin. Quinton shrugs once more, without bothering to respond. She mumbles a little 'I'm not sure' and walks aimlessly down the crowded street. Tyler's smile falters somewhat in response to her comment, but he remains silent until he comes up with something she could enjoy.

"Why don't I show you around somewhere special? It's a location where I go when I'm down and out. Do you want to accompany me there?" Tyler proposed in a warm and friendly tone. Quinton bobs her head as if to say 'yeah,' but says nothing. Tyler interprets this as permission to take her hand in his and lead the way.

They arrive at the top of a hill overlooking the small town after a half-hour hike and a few break stops along the route. That kind of hill, similar to how the Hollywood sign overlooks Los Angeles. It was peaceful, despite the fact that it was high. Very calm and relaxing. Come here to clear your thoughts and meditate peacefully in a pleasant yet rustic setting.

"So, what are your thoughts?" Tyler inquires as he searches for a spot to sit on the grassy hill. As they sit, Tyler spreads out a blanket. "I suppose it's nice." Tyler gasps dramatically at the sound of Quinton's voice, which was the first time she had spoken all day. "Wow, you spoke! So you aren't mute after all!" He laughs at her and responds humorously.

Quinton eventually joins in the laughs. "Does the girl also laugh?" Tyler spits sarcasm and effectively rests his hand on his brow. "What? Please don't be too theatrical. Ty, your laugh is infectious." As they continue to fill the calm air with their laughing, Quinton slaps his arm amusingly.

They become quiet and succumb to the eerie sound of crickets crying out nearby that They go silent as the weird sound of crickets chirping in the distance drowns out their laughter. As they gaze out at the gathering of dazzling lights of their small town below them, silence falls. Tyler realizes Quinton is shivering a little and moves closer to her, hugging her. "Better?" Tyler examines her as he looks down at her to see whether she is alright. Quinton nods once more before she decides to nuzzle into him while he securely embraces her.

"Isn't this lovely, ty?" After a while, Quinton speaks out. Tyler simply nods and remains silent for the first time in their time together.

Tyler turns to face Quinton after a while of contemplating and being in thought, and she does the same after feeling the shift. "You know... I've been worried about you, right?" he concludes. Quinton takes a moment to consider her response before responding. "Yes, I am aware. There's been a lot going on lately." Tyler gives her a firm hug to show that he understands.

"May I ask you a question?" Tyler makes an unexpected announcement. "Sure." Quinton gestures to keep going. "How come you never allow me to refer to you as Quinn?" She sighs deeply, unsure of what to say. "It's a long tale. That's a story for another day." Tyler looks perplexed and perplexed at her. "What do you mean?" He asks more about her response. "Let's just say there's a family death anniversary coming up."

"...and what's been going on recently hasn't helped, has it?" Quinton confirms with a nod. "Please accept my apologies." Tyler apologizes as he glances at her. "Don't be so hard on yourself; it's not your fault." Both of them are staring wistfully into each other's eyes at this point, their faces only a few metres apart. As the distance between them narrows, Tyler initiates the kiss by placing his palm on her face. Quinton stops a little in awe at the unexpected kiss and doesn't react right away. Tyler intensifies the kiss, and she soon relaxes.

Their lips part, they breathe heavily, and their foreheads contact after what seemed like an eternity. Because their lips aren't in contact, Tyler lets out an unexpected moan. "That....was....magical," Quinton says as he exhales deeply. Tyler laughs as he thinks, "...Yeah, it was."

The remainder of the night went easily as they sat and spoke for hours under the starlit sky discussing literally anything and everything.
