Avacato fumbled with his watch as he made his way towards the principal's office. He seriously hated going here. Clarence was an old, mean man that seemed to have it out for our favourite ventrexian.
Avacato knocked on the door and had a response that was far different than the usual curt "enter".
There was some shuffling around and quick steps towards the door.
A man who looked positively distressed opened the door.
He had blue eyes and blonde hair, Avacato had never seen him before.

"Hi! I'm the vice principal here and I'm filling in for a while, you're little Cato's father right?"
He spoke in one breath
"Yes" Avacato responded dryly, always a man of few words.
Little Cato was sitting on one of the red leather chairs facing his father with a guilty look on his face.
Beside him was the tryjvulian kid, Fox was his name, pissing the absolute shit out of little Cato was his game.

Avacato dragged a chair over and sat beside the two boys.
"Whats this about?"
Gary sat down in the principals chair in the other side of the desk
"Well there was an incident-"
"He started it!"
"The hell I did!"

"Boys!" Avacato growled, the boys seemed to regain composure. Gary continued.
"So apparently, Fox approached little Cato and began teasing him about his mohawk, and then things got... Physical"

Avacato examined both boys. Little Cato had a bruise on his arm while Fox had a busted lip. He was confused though, Little Cato had been teased about his mohawk before and he never really cared. Something else had defenitely happened.

"They're not telling the truth"

"Excuse me?"

"Trust me"

Gary swallowed his arguments and turned to the boys. "Is there anything you would like to confess, kids?"

They both shook their heads, Avacato noticed a tremble in Fox's bottom lip. Avacato inched closer.
"Nothing hm, Fox?"
Fox was now completely avoiding eye contact

"Fox?"

And then came the tears. It was ridiculous, even little Cato seemed to feel sorry for him. He was babbling on and on and shaking and apologising profusely.
Gary and Avacato shared a look

"I think it would be better if we all went home and calmed down for a while"

"Agreed"

It was only lunchtime, but neither Gary or Avacato seemed to mind breaking any rules right now

Avacato was awkwardly shuffling little Cato out of the room when Gary grabbed his wrist, and slipped a card in it.
Avacato examined the card, it was just a bunch of numbers...oh
Avacato was absolutely NOT blushing as he looked back up at Gary.

Gary smiled shyly and blushed as well. "Just in case there's any problems or, you know.."

Avacato ignored little Cato's shit-eating grin and smiled back.
