"Shall we begin?"

Kihyun asked with a sly smirk on his lips. Jieun took her place next to the male as she replied to him with a nod. She made sure to maintain a few centimetres of distance between her legs and his, to avoid any kind of contact that would embarrass both of them.

"So, I apologize in advance if I'm going to say something that may make you uncomfortable. This... Thing is pretty crazy."

He declared with a soft chuckle whereas he started to type something on the keyboard. Afterwards, a black webpage appeared on the desktop, with stars and constellation on the sides.

"A Succubus is a demon in female form that seeks to have sexual intercourses with sleeping men. The counterpart of the Succubus is an Incubus."

Kihyun started reading the information written in white on the website. Jieun's body froze when the word "demon" reached her ears. It couldn't be possible.

"D-Demon, you say?"

She asked stuttering and with fingers trembling as she placed her stare on the blonde male, hoping to have misunderstood. Though, when she spotted a repressed smile on the male's face, she immediately realized that he really pronounced that word.

A disheartened sigh left Jieun's lips, once she realized that she couldn't be of any help to Yeosang. She hoped, despite not being something you wished for a person to have, that he had a health problem, or that Succubus was the name of his pet if he had one.

"What do you think it was?"

Kihyun asked with curiosity as an amused giggle escape from his mouth. Ever since Jieun asked for his help, two days ago, he thought that she had no idea what she was going to face. Though, he just couldn't deny her request for assistance, given that he needed a hand too. Joo-Hyuk, apparently, was too scared to make some research about the topic.

The girl panted, not sure if telling him her idea of Succubus. He could've started thinking that she was dumb, or worse, that she wasn't suited for Yeosang.

"I don't know. Some kind of illness?"

Her mouth spoke on her own, causing Jieun to mentally curse herself and her incapability to keep calm when she was nervous.

Kihyun hummed, finding himself to weirdly agree with the girl. If he hadn't looked for that demon online, he would've believed what the girl just said. However, his knowledge in medicine couldn't let him have any kind of doubt about it, since he was pretty sure an illness with that name didn't exist.

"Unfortunately, it's not. I'm studying Medicine and I can assure you that no disease has such a name."

He replied. Every certainty Jieun had in her mind, burst into flames like paper as a wave of despondency and disorientation washed over her body, creating worry in her brain and in her heart.

As much as she wanted and was determined to help Yeosang, she knew that each of her efforts would've been useless and she would've turned into a dead weight. There was no way that such a fragile and weak girl could win against a demon.

"How is this even possible?"

She murmured under her breath between herself, while pinching her lower lips with her index and thumb. It was a rhetorical question, she wasn't expecting an answer that, to her surprise, reached her ears.

Kihyun let out a nervous giggle, already knowing her reaction once he would've told her about that day when Joo-Hyuk, Yeosang and he played truth or dare with the Ouija board.
