Chapter 2. New Students

ATL 9:00 a.m. Aug 3, 2015 Monday

Erin Pov

I pulled up in my parking space. I have thirty minutes before class starts. My space was by Jamal. He wasn't here yet. I got out and sat on my trunk. My eyes wondered. I saw India, Briana, and Justice talking. None of them liked me. Jealous hos. A girl was walking my way. She looked new.

"Hi," she said shyly. "I'm Asia. I'm new."

I hopped down and shook her hand. "Hello! I'm Erin. Welcome."

"Thanks, think you can show me around?"

"I'd love to. You can hang with me. We sort of even look a like."

"I was just thinking that too!"

        Jamal was pulling up. I started smiling. H hopped out the car and I walked over to him.

"Well hello sexy," I purred.

"Who you?" I laughed and we kissed. We broke apart.

"Asia, this is my boyfriend Jamal." They shook hands.

"Want me to take you guys picture?" she offered.

"Please?" I handed her my phone. We took a regular one, funny, and a kissy one. Then, Asia and I took a picture.

        We were about to walk inside. I looked at Asia's schedule.

"Your first three classes are with Jamal, then we all have lunch, your next class is with me, and your last two I'll just show you."

"Sounds perfect," she said smiling at Jamal. "Thanks Erin." I looked at Jamal. He was staring at her. I kissed him and walked away. I turned around. They were laughing and walking away.

Dre Pov

9:30 a.m.

I walked into class. I saw Erin and an empty seat behind her. I sat in it and she threw me a look.

"Somebody was going to sit there." she griped.

"Like who?"

"Somebody!" I laughed. Erin was going to like me.

        The teacher had an assignment. He was assigning partners. "Erin and Andre." I smiled to myself. Erin just put her head down. I moved my desk closer to hers. She looked at me and rolled her eyes.

"I'll do this project by myself. We can lie and say you helped."

"Like hell you will." I checked my phone. "Shouldn't you be meeting Jamal right about now?" Her face changed.

"He said the teacher wouldn't let him leave." I studied her face. Something wasn't right. I got on Instagram and went to his page. The first picture was of him and some girl. She and Erin looked a like. I clicked on it. It was a selfie.

Jamal_: @Blasian here hacking!

Erin was looking by now. Her face was turning red. This girl was new and she had a motive.

"Erin." Her face snapped to me. "I'm pretty sure she doesn't knowmean anything to him. They just met. Calm down." The bell rang. She grabbed her stuff and walked out. She was rocking the hell out that dress. I got my stuff and walked out. I'd try and talk to Jamal. When I was walking, this fine girl walked by me. She made a nigga stop in action.

Erin Pov

12:00 p.m.

Lunch time. I was ready to get to Jamal. This Asia girl was working my nerve. I was walking really fast.

"Erin wait up!" Dre yelled. He caught up with me. We walked in the cafeteria. I immediately spotted Jamal at our table. Asia wasn't there. A smile was forming, but it stopped when I saw her walk over there. She sat in my seat. "Oh shit," Dre whipsered. I walked over there. Asia smiled and waved at me. Jamal got up and kissed me. I caught Asia rolling her eyes.

"Excuse me Asia, you're in my seat," I said.

"Am I? Sorry. I didn't know there were assigned seats." She got up and walked by me. "Bye Jamal!" She walked over to a girl with blonde hair. Weave.

"I don't like her," I said sitting down.

"Why not?" he asked playing with his phone.

"She got a smart ass mouth, plus she wants you. Don't talk to her again." He laughed.

"When did you stop being my girl, and became my mom? Calm down. Damn." I stared at him. Our friends joined the table.

"Hey y'all," Leah said. She was my favorite snow bunny. Her sister walked over our waywith Asia and the blonde weave girl in tow.

"Hey you guys," Cassidy said smiling. "Hello Dothaniel."

"What is it Cassidy?" Leah asked. We all watched the drama unfold.

"Was I talking to you? No. Dot your child needs more pampers. He's running out." I watched Asia with squinty eyes.

"Alright Cass." Leah walked away from the table. Dot took off after her. I watched Asia wink at Jamal and walk away.

Asia Pov

Cassidy, Kennedy, and I sat at a near by table. We all wanted someone over there. I really liked Jamal. Like when got out his truck, my heart just melted. I thought I could like Erin, but no. She was my competition. Cassidy told me they've been best friends forever. I'm relaly going to fuck some shit up.

        Kennedy wanted Dre. It seems like she was going to have to get through an army to get to him. Every bitch wanted him. Not me though. Jamal had my attention. He looked my way and turned away.

"Time to fuck shit up," I said to myself. Kennedy and Cass looked at me. I got up and walked away from the table. Leah and Dot were arguing.

"You know it's still hard for me to accept the fact that you had a baby with my sister! My damn sister Dot!" I kept walking until I was outside the school. I sat on my trunk. Jamal and Dre walked out. Dre pointed at me. Jamal walked my way. He stood right in front of me.

"I can't keep talking to you," he said."It's not my fair to my girlfriend. I'm sorry." He started to walk away but I grabbed him.

"I don't get a chance to say anything? That's not fair Jamal."

"Just accept it."

"Let's go Jamal!" Dre yelled.

"But Jamal we're supposed to be friends forever."

"It's contradicting my relationship. Goodbye Asia."

"Jamal let's go!" Dre yelled again. He was walking away. I watched him run back in the building . This shit was far from over.
