Both of my parents were on a mission, leaving me and my siblings alone in the house. At the current time I was outside in a tank top and shorts training like I would normally. As I was working on my knife throwing I felt a new presence in the tree line. As quickly as I sensed them I threw the dagger I was holding at them, turning my full attention towards the direction I felt them.

It was only a second or two before I heard it hit a tree, which either meant someone had dodged it or I threw it so hard it pierced through their body and hit a tree. I quickly pulled two of my personal knife from the holders on the side of my hips, gripping them in my hands tightly and watching for the person to come out from the shadows. When all I was returned with was silence I frowned.

"I know you're there. So would you like to come out now or make me throw knifes at you until your last breathe." I threatened, only to hear a deep, booming chuckle. Afterwords a heard a gasp and an annoyingly high pitched female voice. "Oh look deary! She would make the perfect addition to the family! She even threatened us!"

I could now hear multiple footsteps coming towards me, and when the people stepped out of the tree line, I was met with the Zoldyck family. More specifically the current head of the Zoldyck house hold, his wife, and his oldest son. Upon seeing this I blushed, slightly embarrassed of me previous actions. "I-I am sorry... I didn't know it was you." I told the family, putting my knifes up before bowing respectfully.

'I just attacked the most powerful assassins in the world!!' I told myself, mentally facepalming at my mistake. "Oh dear, it's fine! You only managed to cut Illumi's cheek. Though, I hope that wasn't all you are capable of." Mrs. Zoldyck said. "No ma'am," I started, still bowing. "I didn't know if you were a butler or something else and didn't want to go too hard.." I trailed off, still very much embarrassed.

"No need to bow sweety!" Mrs. Zoldyck replied, walking up to me and lifting my head up. "Mistakes happen." She gave me a large smile, and I returned it with a small smile of my own, standing up straight as I did so.

"Illumi, be a dear and return the girls knife." Mrs. Zoldyck said, making me actually look at Illumi for the first time. I had met both Mr. and Mrs. Zoldyck in the past as they are very close with my parents, but I've never actually met any of their children. Illumi had long dark hair and doe-like eyes that were pitch black. His skin complexion also looked relatively pale, the dark blue suit didn't really help with that.

Illumi held the knife up with his hand before throwing a straight shot at me (meaning it didn't flip in the air). I simply held up my hand, catching it in between two fingers. I then turned my direction towards the married couple. "If you are here to catch my parents then they are on a mission and won't be back for a few more days."

"Oh I see, although I wanted to catch up with your mother our original purpose was to give you this." Mrs. Zoldyck said, handing me a cream colored envelope. "It's an invitation to a party we are holding to find an eligible suitor for our two eldest sons, Illumi being one of them." Mr. Zoldyck told me, making me nod my head slowly.

"Yes.. I'll be sure to inform my parents. Thank you for the invitation." With a few more words said the Zoldycks went on their way to hand out more invitations. I called a maid to put the envelope in a safe place while I finished up my training. The only thought on my mind being various forms of 'I hope my parents don't make me go..'
-
I suddenly hear the front door open, and a loud "we're home" come from my father. The only reason I heard my parents come in is because i was in the kitchen making myself something to eat.

"Hey mother, father... I have some news." I stated as I entered the entry room, where I found both of my parents taking off their shoes. "What is is?" My mother asked with a sigh. "The Zoldycks stooped by while you were gone. They handed me a letter for a party they are hosting to find a suitor for their sons... I haven't opened the letter yet, would you like to see it."

My mothers mood instantly lifted as she ushered me to get the letter as fast as I could. When I came back, envelope in hand, both of my parents were happily chatting about the possibility of me marrying into the Zoldycks family. I cleared my throw to get their attention before handing them the note.

My mother quickly snatched it from my hands before ripping it open and reading the note to herself while my father looked over her shoulder to read it. At the end of the letter she let out a squeal. "Oh dear! It's wonderful! I can just imagine you now walking down the isles!" I inwardly cringed at the thought, but kept a stoic face.

My father hummed softly before speaking. "It's a day before one of your missions... I hope you know you aren't aloud to stay too late." I nodded my head. "What time is it being held?" I asked, my mother giving me a suggestive look. "Ohh~ Eager now are we~!" I shook my head, "No, I just wanted to know so I know when I need to come home."

"It starts around 9pm and you'll need to leave for your mission around 6am." My father stated, making me nod my head. "Alright, I'll be back here within 1-3 hours after I leave then." I turned to leave and head to train when my mother stopped me. "Wait! Couldn't she stay the night at the Zoldycks and then leave early morning for her mission? She'd get to spend more time with the boys and she gets to work on time. It's a win-win!"

I opened my mouth to tell my mother I would rather come back home when she already whipped her phone out. "I'll work something out with Kikyo!" And with that my mother waltzed out of the room and into a more secluded area. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, not necessarily out of relief, but from disappointment.

"You might not want to go, but there's no stopping her no. She's probably already planned out everything with Kikyo in these short few seconds..." my father said, trailing off before picking his sentence back up. "There's two days before the party, and three before your mission. Your mother probably wants to you to go as soon as possible, but regardless of what she comes in here and tells us I expect you to be training for all of your free time. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes father." I told him, nodding. He gave a single nod back, "I could care less if you finally managed to get a spouse. What comes first is this mission." I once again repeated a 'yes father' before he praised me on being so obedient.

The room was enveloped in a comforting silence before my mother bursted in, a giant smile on her face. "You'll be packing tomorrow and you'll stay until you have to leave for your mission~!" My mother cooed with a happy smile before continuing to talk to Mrs. Zoldyck on the phone. I decided to excuse myself from the room and start training again, pleading that I wouldn't have to interact with anyone in the household too often.
