New encounters

Y/n stayed with Baloo in the jungle, without Shere Khan around she feels a lot more hesitant about the village, she didn't want to go to the village at least not yet.

She sometimes goes there at night to check on Mowgli, till one night as she heads to the village she was caught by Bagheera, "Y/n what are you doing?"

She flinched, "Nothing Bagheera." He looks at her, "It's very late Y/n, what are you doing at this hour." She walks to the village, "I just want to see Mowgli." He follows her, "So you are going to the man village to stay?"

"Of course not, I would rather stay here." Y/n and Bagheera arrived at the man village and find it guarded by an old man holding a barreled musket, she groans in annoyance, "What, there wasn't a guard before."

"You mean you've been sneaking around in the village." She nervously shrugs, "Sometimes." The fierce looking old man raises his gun and fired at them, but the bullet whizzes harmlessly over their heads.

Bagheera whispers to her, "That shot was meant for me, not you. Now get going Y/n." She hesitates, but Bageera gestures and she runs across the clearing to the village gate.

The old man takes the aim causing Y/n to stop dead in her tracks, just as he was about to pull the trigger a younger man knocks the musket from his arms causing the bullet to miss Y/n.

The young man yells, "Buldeo, are you crazy? You can't shoot a child." Buldeo snarls in return, "She's bewitched! I saw him changed from a leopard to a girl."

As the village gather, a beautiful and delicate young woman appears and asks to see the Y/n, she whispers, "Vitani, can it be you?" Y/n slowly creeps out from the bushes towards her.

The man who saved Y/n's life now comes forward and says, "She is no beast, she is our niece who was taken by her parents by the flood, brought back now by some miracle!"

Her aunt and uncle takes her to the village, she turns back and watches Bagheera as he melts back into the jungle. Y/n was taken to her new home, she ate food, got cleaned up and was put to sleep.

She was trying to getting used to be named Vitani for a while, learning ways of being a woman and lives peacefully in the village. However, she is becoming restless and anxious, It's a lot to take in, how could Mowgli handle all this?, she thinks to herself

I want to see more of the village and find Mowgli, suddenly she leaps to the top of the garden wall and escapes into the village.

Her aunt cries out for her to stop, but didnt listen. She bounds away along the thatched rooftops of the village, she then spots her old enemy. Buldeo telling a group of spellbound children about how he killed the king of all tigers, Shere Khan.

Y/n listens to Buldeo's lies for a minute, but she cannot contain herself, "I saw Shere Khan not too long ago, He is very much alive!" Buldeo flies into a fury, "No one believes you, jungle brat!"

"I did see him, he was in a battle between my good friend Baloo the bear. That's not all, there is an ancient ruins in the jungle that has lots of great treasures, gold, silver, and jewels."

Buldeo scoffs, "The beast girl has caught the madness! She's been bitten by a jackal!" She screams, "Shere Khan is alive! And he's a man eater so you'd better be careful!"

Buldeo threatens her with his musket, but Y/n's uncle steps between them and rescues his niece, she looks over at Buldeo and grew angry. Night fall came and Y/n is in bed staring at a fire, her aunt comforts her, "It's ok that you tell these made up tall tales about Shere Khan, Vitani."

They kissed her goodnight and leave, Y/n is troubled by all that has occurred. Then she gets an idea, she lights a torch and leaps out the door. Y/n left the village and heads straight into the jungle, "Some place the village is." she mumbles.

Y/n is running with his torch in the jungle, a heard of elephants panic at the sight of the fire of what they call "Man's red flower." next she terrorizes a rhino who screams, "The red flower! The red flower!" and goes crashing off through the trees.

Later that night, Y/n is sitting in a lonely spot with only a small bonfire for company. Just then Baloo and Bagheera enter the clearing, "So you're back....with the red flower."

Y/n sighs, "They don't want me in the village and honestly I don't want to go back. It has people who can be as dangerous as Shere Khan." She looks at the small fire, "This is the only thing that can protect from Shere Khan as far as I know."

Baloo asks, "But you don't have to be so alone here, you know that right." She doesn't look at them, "I know, but right now I just want to be alone."

They walked off concerned and worried with Y/n's behavior leaving her all alone, Shere Khan is in the jungle listening to everything that's going on. He quietly sighs, "My dear Y/n.....this is not what I wanted you to feel....alone..." he said quietly to himself.

He waits patiently for Y/n's fire to go out and then creeps into the clearing to not scare her just only to take care of her after seeing that scar on her body, but before he could get to her, he is startled to see another torch.
