Virtual reality

I woke up on a gravely surface, I held my head as I felt like someone hit me with a hammer, it was difficult opening my eyes for some reason. I felt smoke clogging up my air waves,i twitched my ears as I heard flames trickling around me, In a hurry I managed to opened my eyes fully... I stood in the middle of central city or what it used to be with tears forming in my eyes.... everything was ruined, it was my fault.... I hated my self because of all this, the whole world payed concequences because I sonic the hedgehog, the hero of mobius got caught by the Eggface... maybe if I wasn't stupid and cracked jokes NONE of this would have happened. I sighed heavily, tears pouring down my face with guilt as I walked around the crumbled city that was nearly all in ashes bringing back memories of the monster named Iblis.. I didn't want to think about it but it kept on bothering me inside my head as this just felt so fammiliar, I shook my head looking at the near nothingness left of this world just wondering if anyone could be even alive at this point.

I crouched down and clenched some ashes from the ground into my hand, I stared at it for a while with sorrow.

"I'm sorry" I bitterly replied as the wind came in and carried it away. Suddenly I heard civilians screams and shouts near by, my heart leapt as I began to ran towards them with a big grin on my face, I can't believe there were people still alive, maybe there's still time to save them.... I ran faster and I skidded as I saw the resistance and what it may have looked like they were going it be exicuted, my heart beat fast, biting my lip to not let the tears fall as I saw tails getting put into the machine...

"NOOOO" I shouted as I ran towards it but I couldn't I was stuck in one place, I felt so confused but terrified at the same time. I wanted to help him and let him live he dosent deserve this, but yet here I am again watching him die right in front of my eyes, tears fell down my cheeks as I got snapped back to reality by getting punched in the face. I shook my head I didn't know what was going on, i felt infinite's smile staring my down as I lay on the floor.

His laughter echoed around the room, making it trap it's self on repeat inside my head as an extra torture. "Foolish hedgehog, can't believe you still fall for my virtual reality, it just proves how weak and guliable you are." He says as he stands over me "you have no idea how pathetic and hopeless you are right now" he says as I felt his grin crawl underneath my skin he waited for me to answear but I didn't, I just couldn't, I felt him smile even more as he knew I was practically broken. "Very well, I could kill you right now but I'll let you live" he says as he flys out of the cage. I felt so numb and broken same as before but worse, I managed to pick my self up with some difficulties and sat on the hard cold steal metal bench.

I couldn't handle it any longer, I broke down and a sea of tears fell out, I failed every thing and everyone, who knows how long I've been here.... trapped, alone no friendly face other than Orbot and cubot but they never seem to come by. I felt my self being watched and as I thought of course I was, my arch nemesis stood there grinning at me taking it by a sign of full defeat, I looks at him tiredly but yet angrily. "Oh what's wrong sunshine? Broke down? Well too bad because no ones here to confront you. Oh and btw I nearly finished in building the Eggman empire across your tiny little pathetic world" he says proudly as he twisted his moustache

With a grin. Zavok comes in with a huge tv screen, I looked at it comfused, what is eggmAn going to do? I looked at Eggman I saw him smiling as he grabbed the remote. "So you might be thinking why I bought a huge tv in here right rodent? Well I'm going to show you your beautiful world" he replies confidently as he switches it on... I saw everything but much clear, everything was ruined, it was worse than in that virtual reality projection infinite trapped me in... it was worse than 5 months ago when eggman let me out into the world. I saw the huge destructive robots kill innocent civilians, it made my heart melt, I wanted to keep my tears in but I couldn't, I started to cry, no one deserved such a thing, I failed everyone. Eggman has won, he actually won. Why would he do this? Why.... I lost everything I felt my heart bleeding inside as I heard Eggman menacingly laugh.. "if only you were out there to save them just in time eh rodent?" He replies.... he's right.
