One day, in Gotham City.

Although Darkseid's invasion was over, the fire of crime around the city never stopped burning. When crime never seemed to rest, then so did Batman. He stayed wide awake to patrol the city. With his high-tech binoculars, he scanned every corner of the city up on a rooftop. He found nothing.

"Shall I remind you it's 1 in the morning, Master Bruce?" Alfred said through his communicator.

"The city has been too quiet since someone managed to screw up a thousand dollars security of Arkham... and it was always 'Bruce Wayne' who had to step in," Batman replied to his butler while holding his binoculars.

"Ah, all hail 'Bruce Wayne', Sir."

"HEEEELLPPP!!!"

Straight away, he heard a scream, not far away from him. Batman immediately moved and followed the voice by swinging himself with his line launcher to one building to another. After he reached the top of a building where the scream came from, he saw a cheetah-like female was holding a tied old lady as if she wanted to throw her off the building.

"Oh, so you are the Batman? Impressive," she said as she looked at him while holding the old lady.

"Who are you?!" Batman asked with patience. She only put a grin on her face.

"The name's Cheetah. Now, if you don't mind—"

"Put her down!"

"Alright, Batman. You ask for this!" Cheetah released her grip and threw the lady off the building. Batman immediately jumped over, successfully caught the lady, and landed on the ground by spreading his cape.

"T-Thank you, Batman!" The old lady thanked him while still feeling the horror.

Then, he looked up and saw Cheetah running away, jumping over those rooftops. Batman started to chase her from the ground, but Cheetah was too fast. He was fascinated by her speed. Although he couldn't reach her right over, he decided to use his bolas shooter at her. Batman quickly calculated the target and...

BANG!!

Bullseye! Cheetah tripped over. Batman's bolas successfully tied her feet up. Going up with his line launcher, he saw Cheetah was struggling to free herself. Unfortunately, with her strength, she broke the bolas! Cheetah was able to stand up and face him.

"It doesn't have to be this way, Cheetah," said Batman as he prepared himself to fight.

"Oh, but I'd love to!" Cheetah directly ran to him with her sharp claws.

Fighting on the rooftop, Batman could barely block her attacks. Even his Batsuit got so many rips. Scars and blood were covering his body. He thought Cheetah would stop at nothing every time she blocked his batarangs. Fortunately, he got the perfect time to spray her eyes with pepper spray.

"ARHH!!" Cheetah was whimpering in pain.

Then, Batman immediately held her and threatened her with his fist. Cheetah looked at him and said,

"You will not hit a lady, will you?" Those words that came out of Cheetah's mouth made him loosened his grip.

"I will!" A voice was heard from above. At the same time, Cheetah got wrapped by a glowing lasso. Batman looked up. It was Wonder Woman. She pulled the lasso up and faced the Cheetah.

"ARGH!! LET... ME... GO!!"

Without further ado, the Amazon Princess slammed her on the ground! Cheetah could not rebel because she knew she wouldn't be able to resist the lasso. She was also losing her strength. So, whether she liked it or not, she chose to surrender.

"You... have... not... seen... the last... of me... Diana!"

The cops of Arkham arrived. Wonder Woman entrusted Cheetah to them. Then, she flew up to the rooftop, where Batman fought the female-beast. There, she found him trying to stand up. She lent him a hand.

"I came as soon as I heard Cheetah was around."

"Gotham is... my turf, Diana," he still felt the pain on his chest with his heavily breathing. She saw his blood was flowing.

"Bruce. You're hurt. Let me help you. I can help you," she begged.

"I'm fine," the Dark Knight replied and straightly jumped off the rooftop and landed on his Batplane he had summoned earlier. She just stood there, watching the plane flew away.

"He is NOT fine," her heart said.
