Meanwhile, somewhere inside Joker's hideout.

The clown prince of Gotham was sitting on his 'throne', under the dim lights. In the silence, he put his head on his palm, was bored of... waiting. Just then, the old lady that got Batman's help came inside. The Joker frowned.

"Where... is... BATS?!" He shouted.

"Calm down, Puddin'! This old lady look is killing me! UGH!! This make up looks like a donkey, don't ya see?!" Harley Quinn grumbled while taking off her old over-sized dress that she stole from a fat granny's laundry and removing her thick make up. Joker stood up, walked toward her, and slapped her in the face really hard until she fell down.

"You... USELESS WOMAN!! I DON'T NEED A ROTTEN PUMPKIN LIKE YOU!!"

Harley wanted to explain that her plans were ruined because of the presence of Wonder Woman. However, he didn't want to listen. Couldn't stand with his attitude from time to time, this time, she chose to leave. No matter what.

"If you could just listen!" Harley mumbled while walking out with her mallet. Her feelings were mixed between staying of going away.

Suddenly, she felt the wind turned cold. A black mist emerged with a pair of red glowing eyes in front of her. She felt a threat around her and prepared her mallet.

"Harley Quinn," the echoing voice from the mist called her. "I need your favor..."

Batcave.

Batman arrived with his body covered by scars. His heavy breathing was echoing the cave, so Alfred could hear him from far away. Then, he helped his master to walk to the recovering chamber. Batman sat on the mattress and took off his cowl and his top suit.

"Jesus, Master Bruce. You got gifts from a hungry lion? It literally destroyed your titanium-based suit."

"Something... like that," Bruce responded while looking at his wounds.

"Seriously awful, Sir. Let's see if this bandage is enough to cover your body," said Alfred as he was preparing the first aid box.

"No need," a familiar voice responded their conversation. Both of them looked at the Batcave entrance, where the voice came from. They saw a woman was walking toward them in a red and blue armor and a maroon cloak, complete with her golden lasso and sword on her side.

"Ms. Prince," Alfred was surprised.

"That's okay, Alfred. We'll manage," she said. Then, Alfred left them alone and gave a smirk on Bruce. Bruce ignored him and stuck his attention to the woman, the so-called Diana Prince that was standing in front of him.

"Great Hera, Bruce," Diana looked at his severe scars and blood all over his face and body.

"That... bad?" Bruce asked.

"I can say you're barely alive by now, but no medics can cure it. Now, lay down," she said as she was taking off her shiny purple necklace. Then, she held it above his wounded body.

"Hold still. It's going to hurt," Diana said. She held his hand as the stone of her necklace started to release bright violet rays that irradiated Bruce's body. Bruce whimpered in pain as the rays were recovering his wounds. To bear the pain, he held back Diana's hand tightly. After a few minutes, the scars were gone, as if they were never there before. For the man who didn't believe in magic, he got up in confusion.

"What is that thing?"

"A piece of purple healing stone. Another gift we believe from the Gods. It recovers any kind of injury, even scars of a cursed beast like her."

"Magic? Impressive, yet it is outlawed, seeing that your homeland is still considered a myth," Bruce responded as he walked himself to the drink bar in the corner.

"So, you would rather legally die instead of illegally healed?" Bruce fell silent on her statement while focusing on making drinks for two of them. Diana sat on the bar chair. "Look, Gotham may be your turf, but Cheetah is my... dance partner. I know that every inch of her is cursed. Her capabilities are still doubtful. I'm afraid she would affect you."

"... Afraid?" Bruce asked. One simple word, a thousand meanings. They looked at each other's eyes in silence. All they could hear was each other's pounding heart. They felt something was going on between them, but somehow... they could not say it.

"Thank you, Di," Bruce broke the silence by giving her a glass of fine wine and smiled at her.

"Cheers," Diana smiled back.
