Falling for Cameron Dallas

Chapter 2

I slam on the brakes as I see a parking spot. I jump out of my car and start walking down the street to my work. My chest sinks when I see my ex boyfriend Tyler and all his 'crew'. I start to walk faster so they won't see me but of course it's too late......

"Well hello there",one of them calls out.

"Come have some fun with us babe", another calls out and starts following me. I start to walk faster and faster but they all run up and start pulling on my arms.

"Go away", I scream.

"Leave her alone!", This random guy yells as he runs over to us.

"Woah! Is this your boyfriend Mel!", all the guys yell.

I don't even speak I just run straight to my work which was about 2 blocks away.

I wish I never dated that stupid guy! Ahh life would be much happier and easier if he didn't exist.

I wipe my tears as I walk through the door and look back. The guy is gone... I never got to see who the hero was because my eyes were full from the tears. It all just happened so quick, I wish I just knew who he was so I could thank him.

I chuck my apron on and walk over to the kitchen.

"Hey Jessica, what table is this for?", I say picking up a tray.

"Table 4, have you been crying lovely?", Jessica says back to me.

"No", I say quickly walking away so she doesnt give me a lecture. 

Jessica is the manager of my work. She works the register and cooks the food. I work the register as well and I'm a waiter.

I walk over to table 4 and say "Here you go, have a lovely afternoon.", and walk away. As I walk back to the kitchen I stop and stare at a cute couple chatting together and laughing. I've always wanted a relationship like that but I can't risk it.

All of a sudden my tray drops making a huge noise on the floor.

"I'm so sorry!", A guy says picking it up off the floor.

"It's okay", I say awkwardly and start walking away.

"Wait! Your the girl from back with those guys! Are you okay? Did they hurt you? You ran away too fast for me to check.", the guy says.

"Oh yeah i'm fine. That was my ex-boyfriend and his friends. They are stupid. Just don't go near them", I explain.

"Melanie, what was that noise, I've got more orders to be taken out", Jessica yells from the kitchen.

"I've... got to go.. Would you like anything? ", I say and then start walking away.

"Yes please, just a coffee thanks", he yells back at me and sits down.

I walk over to his table and place his coffee down.

"So I never got your name", The guy says to me smiling.

"Mel, Melanie", I stutter.

"It's nice to meet you Melanie. I'm Cameron", He says back.

"Are you trying to hide from someone with that hoddie and sunglasses?", I say suspiciously.

"Oh um", He laughs.

"Okay... well um anyway it was nice to meet you Cameron. I'll see you around", I say before smiling awkwardly and walking away.
