One Year Later...

Sitting in Cory's bedroom on a Saturday afternoon, listening to music. After that night in the woods. We became kind of friends with benefits, I want to be a real thing. With Cory graduating soon he doesn't want to get too serious. That's been a year ago. "I can go with you," I tell him.
"Go where?" Cory asked.
"Wherever your going to school," I tell him.
"No I want you to follow your dreams with dance," he said. He knows how much I love dancing.
"Okay," I say to him. It's not what I want to tell him at all.
"Come here," he said and I walk over to him.
"I do love you," he said. I sit there in shock. "But we can't last in this lifetime maybe we will have better luck in the next one," he continued to say.
I sit there in silence in shock I couldn't get over what he said. I guess I zone-out for a while in shock because he's shaking me a little. Then I hear my phone go off, it's my step brother Brandon calling me. "Yeah what's up," I said answering Brandon.
"Mom wants you home she has something to tell us," he said.
"Okay I'll see you in a little bit," I said hanging up my phone.
"You have to go back home," Cory said breaking the silence.
"Did you mean what you said Cory?" I asked.
"I love you so much Taylor Marie," he answered. Before I can reply to him my phone goes off again. It's my mom. I answer it "I'm on my way home," I tell her.
"Okay," she said then the line drops.
I grab my stuff and Cory grabs his keys and head out. We didn't tell my family or our friends about whatever we are. I fix my clothes and he does the same.

We pull in the driveway and I get out of the car. "I'll see you later," I said.
"Okay," he said smiling at me and I smile back at him. I get out of car and walk to the front door.

I open the front door and everyone was in the living room my mom Michelle and my step dad Scott on the love seat. My step brothers Brandon who is a year older than me is sitting the chair next to the love seat. Justin who is a year younger than me is standing next to me. Looking at me.
"Okay what's up," I said.
"Taylor we have to move again," Scott said. I stand there in shock at first.
"What! No we can't I have a life here!" I yell. The boys are frantic as well.
"Yeah! We have friends here! It's my last year here!" Brandon shouts. He is a senior like Cory leaving for college soon. "Yeah why do we have to move!" Justin shouts.
"Okay calm down," my mom said.
"I'm not leaving I don't want to," I tell them
"We are moving if you like or not," Scott said.
I scream and stomped my feet until I got to my room. I throw myself on my bed and cry. I hear a knock on my door and then it open. I turn to see Cory in my doorway. He comes over to me and holds me close. "It's okay Taylor," he assures me.
"What about us?" I dare to ask.
"We can figure this out baby," he said holding me. I cry in his arms and I wake up and it's late Cory is still in my bed sleeping. I move into Cory's arms and he wakes up a little and pulls me closer. "Baltimore isn't that far from Jersey," Cory said and we drift back to sleep.

I wake up with Cory next to me, I couldn't help but to smile. "Morning beautiful," he said.
"Morning handsome," I said back. For a moment I forgot what I was told yesterday. I am moving again.
We get up out of bed and head down the hall to the kitchen. My house a one-story house and kind of small. It was we were able to afford at the last minute.
"Morning daughter, morning Cory," she said.
"Morning mom," I said. "I'm sorry how I acted yesterday," I apologize to my mom.
"It's okay honey I understand why your upset all three of you especially Brandon it being his last year and you with your dance and boyfriend," she said. She knew about Cory?
"You know about us?" I asked.
"How the two of you look at each other absolutely your family isn't stupid as you may think," mom said.
"I never thought you and Scott was stupid," I tell her.
"We aren't stupid either sis," Brandon said coming from down the hall.
"Yeah," Justin said just to agree with Brandon.
"And you Cory can visit whenever he wants to," she said smiling at him.
"Thank you," Cory response.
"Now I made chocolate chip pancakes," mom said holding a plate of pancakes.

After the weird breakfast this morning, Cory and I decided to tell our friends. All of us sitting outside my backyard. Sitting on our really pretty patio, we still have the gazebo up. The lights hang around it and our outdoor couches are still outside for the summer.
It's the end of summer I'm going to be a junior and so are friends expect Cory who is going to be a senior like Brandon.
Sofia is sitting across from me her beautiful blonde hair is down and her natural wave to it. Sunlight is in her blue eyes so she's squinting a little. We met in dance class and she is a bit better than me. At least in my own opinion.
Jason who is sitting next her he's the athlete of us at least minus us girls. He's dirty blonde hair it's shorter than Cory who has a shaggy look to him. He has brown eyes women fall in love with all the time. He's kind of a player, he just hasn't found the right girl.
Tyler is the popular artsy kind of guy. He's dating our friend Erica. They are sitting at the bar next to our outdoor couches. Facing us waiting what is going. Tyler runs his hands through his almost black hair. He's eyes are almost a grey color I never seen anything like it. The sun is in his eyes so he puts he's sunglasses on.
Erica is sitting next Tyler at our little bar with her sunglasses on wearing her blue floral sundress, her brown hair up in a messy bun. She has brown eyes that hides behind her sunglasses. She's also a athlete she does her gymnastic I don't think the girl has a ounce of fat. All muscles.
"So what's going on," Tyler said.
"I'm moving again," I announce.
"What you can't what about your dance?" Sofia shouts.
"Yeah and what about you and Cory," Erica said.
"You guys knew too?" Cory asked.
"We aren't stupid we noticed last year when you two finally decided to get together," Jason said smirking.
"Oh okay fantastic and we haven' t decided what to do yet," I tell them truthfully.
"Where are you moving to?" Tyler asked.
"Baltimore," I answer.
"When are you moving?" Sofia asked.
"I'm not sure yet," I reply.
"Well this sucks," Jason states.
"Hell yeah it does," Cory comments.
