A game. Emma loved games. It was very childlike of her, except most of the games involved stupid things that ended up with someone getting hurt.
“What do you have in mind?” Nate asked nervously, brushing his short, dark hair out of his eyes. The last time Emma suggested playing a game they got in so much trouble.
Audrey piped up, suggesting games that were hopefully less dangerous than the ones that Emma liked. “Bloody Mary?”
Emma laughed. “Are you serious?”
Audrey smiled, and shook her head. “Maybe not. But what’s your idea?”
“Spin the bottle.” Emma had only played it once, but she was obsessed with it. Unlike her other friends.
“No way.” Nate’s blue eyes widened. “There are three of us, and since I’m the only guy, I’d have to kiss both of you.” He shuddered.
“I think we’re a little too young, Emma,” said Audrey.
“True.”
“Charades?” Nate suggested.
Emma brushed the idea off, claiming that it was a stupid game.
“There are a couple of board games in the cupboard,” Audrey proposed. “We could play one of them?”
“Bah. Too messy. We’ll spend more time cleaning them up than actually playing.” Emma shook her head. “What about I Never?”
Audrey looked horrified. “Isn’t that a drinking game?”
“Relax, princess. I meant with lemonade.”
Even with the alcohol removed, none of them agreed that it would be a good idea.
Emma suddenly got the biggest smile on her face. “I have the best idea ever!”
Audrey and Nate stared at each other, worried about what she was going to say.
“Truth or dare!”
Nate nodded. “Okay. Just don’t do anything stupid.”
“Yay! Who’s going first?”
