The Stalker of Death

You both descended, staying quiet.

"So, Y/N, I was wondering-" Magnus started, but you shushed him.

"Listen." You said and you stopped walking and stood completely still.

You both heard two people having a conversation.

"Why do you have to follow me?" A male asked.

"Because I can." Another asked.

You walked down a few more steps, not watching where you were going.

You yelped as you started falling. You felt the back of your shirt being tugged back roughly and you landed on top of Magnus.

You both had blushes on your faces as you scrambled to get off him, making you both even more entangled. You quit moving and stared into his eyes.

Wow, his eyes are so-

N O 

Stop that

You quickly got up.

"S-sorry." You stuttered out.

"It's cool." He got up as well.

"Once again, I've tripped over air." You said, examining the step.

"Let's keep going." He said, this time taking the lead.

You walked some more, trying to keep quiet as to eavesdrop on the two men. Although, they had turned on loud music and sounded like they were just sitting in silence and listening to the music. Loud Music. Out of boredom, you started listening to the lyrics.

The lyrics weren't stupid, but it was heavy metal, so it was hard to tell what they said. You caught phrases like "There's a Demon inside" and "I'm a danger to myself".

You saw a light start to shine and picked up your pace, as did Magnus. 

You both peeked around a corner to find two men. One had long, black hair pulled up in a ponytail and red eyes, while the other had bright pink hair in a shaggy style and purple eyes.

"You've arrived!" The one with the pink hair said excitedly, looking at yours's and Magnus's hiding spot.

You both cautiously moved out of your hiding spot and into the light. The black haired one turned off the music and stared at you intensely, his harsh glare making you shiver.

"You were expecting us?" You asked.

"Yep!" The pink haired one shot up from his spot. "I'm Lane! That cutie over there is Kyle! He's the one and only son of Thanatos! And I'm his stalker!"

Kyle rolled his eyes.

So he is literally stalking death? You thought to yourself, Weird.

"I'm Y/N, and that's Magnus." You introduced yourself and Magnus.

"I smell a ship!" Lane exclaimed excitedly. You blushed again, and Magnus looked confused.

"There aren't any oceans or bodies of water nearby. Is there?" Magnus asked.

You snorted and let out a laugh. 

"What's so funny?" Magnus asked, glaring at you.

"Nothing, Nothing." You looked back at Lane. "We were sent by Utgard-Loki. We're looking for the artifact that will prevent Skoll and Hati from releasing Loki and starting Ragnorak. So, how do we do it?"

"You and A.E. are the answer. Well, you both and this square." Lane said, tossing up a multi-colored cube.

Before you or Magnus could catch it, it exploded and a bright light shot out.

You both had to cover your eyes so it didn't blind you. Once the light died down, you couldn't see anything. It was completely black.

You felt a hand grab yours, and immediately realized it was Magnus. You gripped his hand back.

After about a minute or so, the darkness slowly faded and you could see clearly.

"Hati is weaker during the day, and Skoll is weaker during the night." Lane explained. "It's ironic. Anywho, what happens is when the sun starts to set, and isn't completely up or down, they are both sluggish and a little stupid. Almost like they're tipsy. That's when you need to attack. That's what these cubes do, first shine a light bright enough to blind you, then take away all the light. There's only a few, and I'm only giving you one. Use it wisely." Lane handed you another multi-colored cube. You took it and carefully placed the small object in your pocket.

"Thanks." You said, turning to leave. Magnus was right behind you as you both started your way back up the stairs.

"One more thing." Kyle's voice was cold and harsh, and it made you flinch. You turned around and peeked around the corner.

"One of you, you or your sister, will die. And the other will watch.

I promise I will update more, since I know I have more of it planned out.
