Chara's POV~

The Underground didn't have such a display of media. The Underground didn't have seasons or specific school breaks. The Underground didn't have real stars, just crystals embedded in the ceiling. The Underground had hotels with a limit of 2 rooms. The Underground was full of magic.

I despise the towns crawling with humanity. And I dare think of the crystals more beautiful than the twinkling balls of gas up past the atmosphere. I took up astrology as a hobby, to study what made space beautiful, and simultaneously terrifying. People sent out into the vast nothing lived for years while their family on Earth died. Things there came and went swiftly, measured by lightyears. My fingers deftly flipped through the pages of a book on the subject when knocking arrived at my door, though it was welcomingly wide open. I know who it is. "So, whaddya want, Sansy~"

I can tell he recognizes the familiar tilde in my voice, but I'm sure he takes it as pure coincidence.

He doesn't. "I thought you killed everyone. Jesus, I've been thinking about the timelines of my battle since I killed you two that one final time. But she was the one in control?"

"Wow. You're actually thinking about it? I've moved on. Frisk shows no sign of Resetting, and it's too late for her to change her mind. You get to keep your brother, and no more holing yourself up in that mess you call a room..."

"But I hurt you. From what I can understand, you were innocent."

"Nah. Not really. If I hadn't offed myself when I was alive I would've carried on the family legacy and might've kept the Reset button." I can't believe I'm talking to the comedian casually. He hated me. "My plan failed, and my brother paid for the cost." I sigh, remembering the day.

"I thought getting sick was how you died."

"I killed myself to save the Underground, consuming the buttercups to make it look like an illness. I hoped Asriel could take my soul and go up to the Surface, kill the last 6 humans, and break the barrier. He followed through, but he didn't have the heart to kill anyone. We died. And it was my fault."

"Oh..."

"Yeah, 'oh'." I shut my book, staring off into space. "Yeah, Frisk was the reason for that mess. As long as she can't do any more damage, I don't care about what she does."

"Well, she did just that, so..." He looks pretty shamefaced, so I turned to face him directly.

"What exactly did she do?" I ask, narrowing my eyes.

"She told everyone her secret, how she was able to Reset, and then told everyone you killed them. Says you controlled her with fear." He looked at me with grief, and my lashes fluttered.

"R-Really?..." My mouth goes dry and I swallow. "Wait, but... no..." I force back a lump in my throat and blink back tears. "That- no..." I stand up, now furious. "That bitch! THAT'S MY FAMILY, NOT HERS. She doesn't get to influence them against me!"

"Well. They believe her. I almost killed her on the spot, trying to tell Papyrus about the Resets. He didn't hear after I directed him away."

I smirk. "Tomorrow, we do one thing better. We switch out her half soul for some random one, and I get her full soul. Then I can Reset, which would be power." I smile down at the rough scars traced at my fingertips. Years of wear and tear enrobed them. "If she no longer has it, she'll back off."

"Chara, you really think you'd be able to?" Frisk walks in from behind Sans, with this plastered smirk on her face. "Besides, you did kill them. I was there. Truly there. I was no longer in control of my body..." She bit her lip, feigning sorrow, and a few tears fall. "Sans, you have to believe me!"

He blinks, and his hesitance gives her an opportunity to place a small kiss on his cheekbone. Oh yeah.

In the few pacifist routes Frisk did take, they were an item. Together. Lovers. A thing. I didn't really pay much attention to this, but he seems to remember the timelines, so he glances at me with confusion, but I didn't have time to fret about his answer. I instead glared Frisk down and walked past them. "Sans, figure it out yourself. She's your girlfriend, after all." I wink to engulf him in utter shame. "And hey, I hope you solve your mental health issues..." I walk off, heading to face my Kingdom.
