Emma's POV
The next day after school, I was texting Eleanor. She was telling me about the schools volleyball team and how I should join with her and the other girls.
"Sounds like fun! But idk I'm not that good at it."
"lol don't even worry about it. Half the girls on the team just tryout for guys. You know cause you get to wear those short shorts."
"Oh, then yeah I think I have a chance. Thanks" I smile.
"Sure. So see you for practice?"
"See you!"
Guess I'm on the volleyball team now.
I actually don't really like volleyball at all. But looking back to what I said the first day in Holmes Chapel, I'm not gonna be the same Emma. Everything will be different and I am supposed to do anything to make that happen.
So far, in two days, I've made a whole group of friends, and one enemy. More friends than I've ever made, I'd say. Had a couple enemies though.
I didn't have much homework today. After completing it I went into the living room and started to watch marathons on Netflix in my pj's while my warm blanket was huddled up around me.
Man life can be good
I'm not liking school so far. Way more homework than you get in America. After watching a whole lot a movies and shows,
Eleanor and I just spent the rest of the day practicing for volleyball tryouts in nearby gym."Hey, your not bad at this!" Eleanor exclaims as I spike the ball back to her. "Very good actually." she smiles.
"Says you." she just laughs.
"Hey, so are you and Harry kinda, like, a thing?" Why would she say that?
"No, why do you think so?"
"I don't know. I overheard Harry talking to Louis about you. He really likes you. That's never happened before." She says bumping the ball back.
He said that? I thought he was just kinda being a jerk. You know, those guys that try to get with you but leave you crazy about them. Players.
"What's never happened before?" I set it back.
"Harry's never been crazy about a girl before. In fact he doesn't even remember half the names of the girls he's dated. But that is a lot, so I don't blame him." Yeah that's what I thought. "Almost all, like, allthe girls in Holmes Chapel. If you ask me I don't even think it was dating. Kinda just hooking up for two days, and then 'breaking up'."
"That's messed up. I seriously don't like or respect guys like that."
"Yeah, I recommend you don't get with him." It was never my intention.
"Don't worry, I won't."
"But seriously, you're the only girl who's ever rejected him and he's gonna do anything to get you to fall for him." It's gonna be hard to get that annoying idiot off my back but it'll happen sooner or later.
"Hey by the way, I'm having a party at my place on Friday. You're coming." I just laugh.
"Yeah okay, I'll have to ask."
"I know I'll see you." She winks.
