Alone on the frozen lake,
One waits,
The other longs,
To fly,
fly free,

kind,
Caring,
Loving, there for me,
Waiting,
Patient,
The soft touch of feathers,
Encouraging,
Comforting,
Tender,
Staying cold,
For me,
2 swans, meant to be,
And who am I?
But an intruder,
And yet they wait,
They care,
They help,
Determined to stay,
Through wind and rain,
And what am I to do?
Leave?
No, I stay with them,
If they'll have me,
2 swans, thoughtful,
Caring,
A lonely soul,
Happy content,
Following,
A family.
