It was finally morning and I thought about what happened last night. It was dramatic but I never got see what happened to Rachel. I felt as if I played a huge part in making her upset.

I was still laying in my bed, listening to the sound of the waves rising and returning. I grabbed my phone and checked the time. It was too early and I guaranteed everyone else was still asleep, so I decided to take a quick morning walk. I'm not the type of person to jog in the morning, but after everything that had happened, I just needed some fresh air.

The air was still chilly from the night sky, the sky was grey yet still had a hint of light. I started heading towards the coast and explored the tide pools. I suddenly saw Corey walking around and checked out the pools. I approached him and noticed he looked fresh, his hair was fuzzy and his skin didn't seem to be bothered by the cold air.

"Someone woke up fresh?", I told him.

"Well someone just woke up", he smiled and I couldn't but smile too.

"So what brings you here?"

"Just trying to absorb what happened last night"

"Don't beat yourself up about it, it was technically my fault, I hosted the games"

"Yeah but that was not the reason", he paused and bend down to pick up a shell.

The shell had beautiful brown spots and a spiral. Corey held it against his ear and pretended he was hearing something from it.

"Who's on the other line?", I asked jokingly.

"A mysterious lady, she said we should both do something for the group this morning to make up for what we did", he replied and nodded.

"Can I get this mysterious lady's name?"

"Oh wai- she hanged up", he threw the shell back and we both shared a laugh.

Corey was not the person I expected to make silly jokes and take morning walks. Rachel told me that he was a jerk who just kept talking about himself and would probably spit at you, because of this, I grew a hatred for Corey but that was until I met him in the party. Maybe boarding school helped him with his attitude?

"Were you always this goofy?", I asked.

But Corey smile slowly faded and he looks at me, "I was not always who I am now, I used to be destructive, rude and disrespectful but ever since I started schooling abroad-" he paused for a moment and continued, "Boarding school thought me values and changed me"

I placed my hand on his shoulder and gave it a gentle rub, "Well I'm glad we didn't invite some crazy jerk to this vacation"

We laughed and told each other funny stories about school and traveling. I suddenly came up with an idea.

"Corey, what if we make breakfast for the whole group and apologize for making a ruckus", Corey nodded and followed me back to the house.

"What do you wanna make for them?"

"Actually, i'm not a great cook but-"

"I can cook, in boarding school they thought us basic Michelin-Star restaurant meals"

He can cook? What a major turn on! Dante please stop being gay!

"Well that's great", I smiled and he proceeded to grab some herbs, pots and started cooking.

I didn't know what to do so I just started cutting some onions and he gave me thumbs-up for doing that. Heck I should become a chef now.

"Now when you cut the onions, don't forget to hold back your tears"
